When to contact vendors?

Last July, I contacted all of my vendors and pushed them all to August 2021. I got confirmation from them all and signed new contracts so I am not too worried. But I still want to reach out and make sure everything is still in place. Is it too soon to reach out for an August wedding? I wanted to wait until all the big holidays were over before getting a hold of everyone, but now its 8 months away and I will not be able to find a replacement vendor the longer I wait in case something goes wrong.
