Oye the poodles. When someone you haven't spoken to in a year and never really been good friends with to begin with invites themselves to your wedding.

    That sucks.

    If you don't talk to them how do you know they invited themselves?

    Lol.. that's funny

    First, they won't get and invitation.. Second.. if they have the courage to show up, then they will be embarrassed cause there will be no sits for them Smiley smile

    I don't let that happen. But if it did I would call them and try and bring it up depending on who I heard it from.

    OMG isn't that SO annoying!! I had a friend who I used to be close with say "Oh I can't wait to come to your wedding, who are your bridesmaids going to be?" As if she wanted me to ask her right there on the spot and we haven't spoken for years. Ya... right. Lol

    A) Great GG reference.

    B) How does that even happen? People are mind-boggling.

    Someone asked me if she is invited to my wedding and I said no.. she almost cried and kept bugging me for weeks.. then on Sunday she asked again.. and I told her we are paying per person and it's a lot of money. She offered to pay for her plate................ can you imagine my face?......... *sigh*... I don't remember how the conversation ended.. mind just went blank..

    @Beth we ran into each other and she said it.

    LOL. I'm not too worried about her just showing up, the location will be kept private to all but invited guests. I just thought it was funny. It's absolutely ridiculous how people think they can behave.

    Don't invite, if they show up, have them escorted out. Since you did not invite them in the 1st place, you must not be close so I can't imagine you would be bothered if they were upset.

    I have not posted anything about my engagement or wedding on social media for various reasons, one of them being, I do not want people to see it and assume they are invited when I would not have invited them in the 1st place.

    I found out that I girl I went to high school with was upset that I did not invite her to my wedding. She found out about it because we have mutual friends. I invited those friends, but not her. Mind you, I have not hung out with since high school, and the only time I see her is once a year at Christmas when one if our mutual friends has a Christmas party. I haven't talked to her and when I see her at Christmastime this year, I will not fee weird about her not being there.

    UGH, I HATE this with a passion that burns very deep in my soul. I've turned down family members, my mom even. Weddings are not free, I am paying per person! Ugh.

    This has happened too many times for me to count!

    I haven't got to that stage in my planning yet but goshhh that is something I do not look forward to! When I announced my engagement on Facebook an old acquaintance who I haven't spoken to in years commented "yay, can't wait to wear my new dress" lol. And I know for a fact he won't be invited. I'd say just stay firm on who your inviting Smiley smile

    @cindy omg how awkward!!
