When do you celebrate your Anniversary?

FH and I celebrate the day we officially began our relationship December 22. Once we are married, should we still celebrate our "getting together" annivesary and our "wedding anniversary" or just our wedding anniversary? What are you all doing?

Our wedding date is the same date we started dating, so easy to remember. Just 4 years apart Smiley smile

Our "get together" date was technically Christmas day lol. He did that so he wouldn't forget. So we chose Jan 25 since it's the closest 25th that fell on a Saturday, plus it's just 1 month after the "get together" versary.

Our current anniversary is December 20th (not too far from yours!!), so we celebrate that now. Our wedding anniversary will be January 18th. We haven't totally discussed it, but I figure we'll just majorly celebrate the wedding anniversary (presents or what have you). But I'd like to remember the dating anniversary, even if its just something we mention every year

Currently we celebrate the anniversary of our first date but our wedding is the weekend of the anniversary of when we met (it will be 3 years on our wedding day) and that will be the only anniversary we celebrate (already discussed and decided)

My wedding is on my anniversary so my brain doesn't explode trying to figure this question out.

Our dating (and later engagement!) anniversary is July 14th and our wedding anniversary will be July 26th. Since they're so close together, once we're married, we'll celebrate on our wedding anniversary, though I'm sure we'll still acknowledge the 14th.

Right now we celebrate our anniversary as the first day we met in person (we met on eharmony). We have been inseparable since that day so it makes sense. Haha. After we are married, we will celebrate our anniversary on our wedding date. ... Though we will probably end up mini celebrating our dating anniversary too, with at least a nice dinner. Smiley smile It's still a special day. Smiley smile

We celebrate the moment we became more than just friends which is May 12th as our anniversary. We plan on celebrating Sept 27th too…the 12th of every month is kinda like our anniversary…we try to do something special that date every month since we just feel so lucky to have crossed the line and took the chance on it becoming more...

I'm getting ready to celebrate 1 month of being married. I plan on doing something each month for at least the first year. It will most likely be a card but I'm so happy I want to recognize that milestone.

We met on 3/21 and he asked me out for the next evening, so that was the start of it all. On 3/21 of the following year, he proposed. So, we do a low-key celebration on 3/21 and then a bigger celebration on our wedding anniversary (10/10).

We'll celebrate both but since they will be 4 days apart (I don't like remembering new dates lol) we will do like dinner and a move or something, nothing elaborate.

@ Courtney F - YAY! I'll be on my honeymoon for our 10 year anniversary too!

We will most definitely celebrate both anniversary's. We started going out on DEC 29 and got engaged on our 5 year anniversary which means a lot to both of us. We are getting married on OCT 25 and will celebrate that as well. It's a big thing for us since we started out in high school and so many people thought that it was just a little high school fling and wouldn't last.

I say, "Celebrate as much as you can!" that said, DH and I usually go for the oh-so-romantic, "Hey, it was our dating anniversary, wasn't it?" a couple days after our DA and try to actually make it out to dinner or something for our wedding anniversary.

    Neither.

I couldn't tell you what our anniversary is and FH certainly doesn't. We won't be doing anything for it when we have a wedding one either. I might stick it on the calendar though

We know when we started talking and when we first met but the actual date we became an official couple neither of us actually know...so as of right now we go off of the date we met. After we are married will celebrate our wedding anniversary.

It's funny because we're getting married on our first day anniversary! So nothing has to change! We're obviously very sentimental people! So May 17th will always be our anniversary no matter what! Smiley smile

FH and I are planning on filling our marriage papers in October so that its out of the way when for when we have our ceremony in late November. I'd prefer to celebrate on our October date so that it don't come too close to all the other holidays, but we'll see what happens.

We started dating in July, which was always a bit complicated because our birthday's are both around then so its going to be nice to have some separation in the dates.
