When did you realise you were in love with your now-fiance/ee?

It's the week of love, y'all! Which makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside and curious to know - when was the moment you realised you were in love with your spouse? In my experience, it's usually not at some big, romantic, grand gesture, but something tiny, maybe something every day and ordinary!...

Which makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside and curious to know - when was the moment you realised you were in love with your spouse? In my experience, it's usually not at some big, romantic, grand gesture, but something tiny, maybe something every day and ordinary!

The first time I realised I was beginning to fall for my fiance was when I went to an interstate conference where I was a keynote speaker less than a week after our first date. For years and years I'd dated people who wouldn't even remember I was going to a conference, never mind remember when I was speaking, what day it was held on or anything about it at all, even after a few months together.

But, he remembered after only knowing me 2 weeks, and texted me to say good luck. I responded telling him that they'd moved my spot around, so I'd already presented, and he asked if he could CALL ME. Like it was the 90s!

I was out with some of the other delegates for dinner and we'd had a few wines, so I let him know when I got back and he rang me up and we chatted for ages. He just wanted to call and see how I'd gone. It was SO NICE! and the fact that he remembered what I had going on in my life and bothered to see how it had panned out...

I definitely realised I was starting to fall in love with him right then.

So! Your turn! Tell me how you knew?

When I was browsing IG and saw the slogan of this jewelry brand, it reminds me of her!!

I knew I was in love with my now husband after two months of dating. It was my birthday, and he spoiled me so rotten! He took me for dinner, ice cream, and a movie, and then when it was time for him to give me his actual gifts, he bought me so much stuff! I thought maybe he might just get me flowers or something, but he got me a ton of cute stuff, including a little teddy bear. I couldn't believe he did all that for a girl he'd only been dating for a couple months.

I knew I was falling for him when it just felt completely natural being with him every day. I have NEVER wanted to be around ANYONE that much in my entire life!! I am very introverted and I usually need a break from people after any social situation. It just drains my emotional battery.

But with him... while I would be at work every day I would be so excited to see his name pop up on my phone to say "Would I be too pushy to say I really want to see you again tonight?" and I would tell him I was REALLY hoping he would ask!! Before I knew it we had hung out every day for a month and nothing felt more natural. We both said we had never been like this in past relationships and usually needed our independence and space. But it just felt so right being around each other! Like coming home after a long day at work and relaxing. That's what being with him felt like.

I used to get very homesick. I hated spending the night away from home for any length of time. Now I get homesick for him whenever one of us is away.

I fell in love with him a couple months after being a couple and we were laying in bed cuddling and I was the big spoon and I just had this big realization hit me that I was falling in love with him and I wrote "I love you" tracing it on his back and he understood what I was tracing on his back and he said it back to me. It was a very intimate moment.
