When did you get your marriage license?

I am in California and our wedding license will be available for pick up within 15 business days of applying for it online, then once we pick it up in person (both of us) it will be valid for 60 days and from the date of our marriage the officiant has 10 days to finalize it all. My wedding is at the end of March so 1st of February we will apply for it, pick up 2nd ish week or 3rd and have it valid for our wedding.

We got married last St. Patrick's Day and we got ours on Valentine's Day. I thought it would be a cute romantic way we could celebrate Valentine's Day together and acknowledge our upcoming wedding.

FH and I nust discussed this! We're just under the 80 day mark, so I let him know that in mid-February we could get the marriage license. I think that was his "this is real" moment.
We agreed to wait until March as that's plenty of time.

We are still 8 months away but we are in Ga and I believe here it is 45 days so we have a long wait before we can get ours.

I'm here in FL and I got my license about 50 days out. I was the same way, I wanted to get it early, instead of waiting til the last minute. It's now hanging out in the gun safe... LOL.

MA is also 3 business-day waiting period and then good for 60 days. We live in CA and we’re getting married close to the holidays (and we were worried that a snowstorm could close town offices...), so we took a trip out a solid month ahead of time to get the license.

I'm in Illinois (DuPage county) and it's the same for us! I'm not sure I understand, though, does it have to be used within 60 days or used and returned within 60 days? I think we're going to go a month out just to be safe...

In UT, we can only do 30 days out. I will be getting ours on day 29, cuz I also like to be prepared and hate leaving things to the last minute. Which has saved my bacon getting the passports, as the person that submitted ours didn't submit my full birth certificate and my application was denied, so I have to resubmit.

Ohio here, but getting married in Canada! We are meeting with the officiant a day or 2 before our wedding to get the license.

We are planning on this week! We just have to have it 24 hours before here in NY. 2 weeks to go!
