When did you buy your wedding shoes?

I found some gorgeous royal blue satin heels with a beautiful embellishment on the back of the heel, they are Badgley Mischka and they are on sale. I’m in love with them! However, my wedding is a year away. What would be your suggestions and what was your experience. When did you buy your shoes?...

I thought about it, however I don't own anything nice enough to wear or even comfortable (besides sneakers). The only nice flats I have are a little old and last time I wore them they were so painful and caused blisters. I realized I can't use flat shoes, they hurt my back.
I spend my money wisely and I always look for sales or clearance. But for some reason I really wanted blue heels, plus my dress is a Slim Sheath Dress so it's not puffy, my toes will show a little.

I bought my shoes about 4 months before I even bought my dress. Backwards I know, but they were what I wanted anyways and they were on sale.

Update:

I had had to return the shoes. My feet is wide and they were too tight. I had them on for about and am hour on with socks (to protect them) and the side of my feet were hurting pretty bad. Took them back to Nordstrom and they said that they couldn’t stretch them that much. I bought an 8 so I tried ordering a 8.5 or 9 (just to try them on, because I’m a 7.5) but they are out of stock. I’m very sad but at the same happy I ordered them. Now I know they were not the “perfect” shoe for me.

At this point I’m considering dyeable.
