I'm getting married September 2017, and I don't know when I should ask my bridesmaids. The wedding will be out of town for all of them. They all know the wedding date. I'm planning to send out save-the-dates in January/ February because we have so many people coming from across the country. When did you ask your BMs?

    I had an 11-month engagement and asked all of my BM within a month of getting engaged, 10 months before the wedding.

    I'm getting married same time and I just asked my BMs, I wanted them to know before sending the save the dates as well

    I asked them earlier this yr.. and our wedding is oct 2017.. I was just ready to ask them.. and they are all excited and happy..

    I asked right away (about 15 months in advance). The only reason I did was because I knew my best friend that I've know my entire life was going to be my MOH and my sisters would be BMs. And that's it. If that hadn't been the case, I definitely would have waited.

    My wedding is in August. We just asked our bridal party at our engagement party and only invited them and close family.

    Dont ask too early. I asked a few weeks after my engagement and now I wished I waited.

    I had a 9 month engagement so I asked about 8 months out, once we'd gotten a venue and date set. I am MOH in a December 2017 wedding and I know that my friend was very excited but (in my opinion) there's really no point in asking that early.

    I didn't wait, I jumped the gun and asked all of them over this summer for our September wedding.

    I asked earlier than most people on here would consider appropriate. BUT - my girls are my sister and my BFF of 12+ years. I'm not concerned about those relationships changing in the next 14 months
