Hey Ladies!
I got engaged in February after a two year "courtship".
We set a date, we invited our friends to participate in the wedding, but, I must admit, it didn't feel real until we booked our venue. Woo hoo!

We were full steam ahead,booking our Venue, Honeymoon, DJ, photographer, officiant, caterer, ordered our cake, had our engagement photos taken for save the date, bridesmaids have dresses and shoes, I have my dress and veil. I have a make-up artist and hair dresser lined up. I even have a hair dresser for my horse Sasparilla, who I'll be riding in my wedding.

Our wedding is June 6,2020.
We have accomplished alot,but for the moment we are at a standstill due to some unexpected life events.

My Daddy has been diagnosed with Dementia. It's a tough journey to take with a loved one. I truly hope he can stand up with me at my wedding.

I'm also approaching the second anniversary of my Mama's death on the 4th of August.

I'm in need of a happy distraction to cheer me up and get my wedding mojo back.

All of you newly engaged brides, I'd love to see pictures of your dresses, veils, rings, flower ideas, shoes,engagement pictures etc.
Feel free to share it all! I'd truly love to see them

This is my dress and my tiara it's really all I've been able to get accomplished so far (budget has been pretty tight so I'm mostly planning without setting anything in stone until around the beginning of 2020 (hellooooo tax returns)). It started to feel really real when my mom, FMIL, and I stepped foot into David's Bridal to try dresses on. Once I found THE dress, I really felt like I was getting married.
I don't have my official ring yet as finances have been really tight, so I have a $9 CZ ring from walmart on my finger for the time being (by choice) it looks close enough from a distance that most people will believe it. The ring we'll hopefully be able to afford soon is Moissanite and it's gorgeous.

For me, the wedding started to feel real was when I found my dress and all the accessories! But mostly it feels like a dream.

Thank you! My mother in law found it. It was supposed to be a belt but the real headband was too tight and it hurt me. This way I could control how tight it is. I love it!

Hey, if it works go for it!
I picked a tiara with crystals and pearls in an effort to get the heirloom pearl necklace I'll be wearing to work with my beaded dress xD The accessories really make the outfit, I feel like.

I've got a little over 3 weeks to go, and it only sometimes feels real.
Like our wedding shower, or when I try on my dress, or when people have sent us gifts.
I mean, we have a countdown of less than a month on our whiteboard at home, and I don't think it'll feel real until I'm standing in front of all our framily with him.

My shoes and dress, it became very real when my dress was delivered yesterday, alterations are this Saturday. AND I woke up this morning and we have 2 weeks before we leave for our wedding week!!! Eeeeeek!!! Love your horse ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I added my smoosh kitty Ocean with her flower girl cutout we’re including in the wedding.

It felt real after we signed our contract for the venue. We walked out of the building dancing and hugging each other, like two besties jumping up and down. We got a few looks, not gonna lie.

You will get through these struggles and we are always here to cheer you up! I'm going to share my ring! It just came back from the jeweler. I had to drop it off on Sunday the center stone was a little loose.

I have never owned something so beautiful. Everytime I look at it I can see how much my fiance loves and cares about me. He sometimes has trouble communicating these things and is always working on it. When I look at my ring I see everything he feels for me. He worked with the jewler to design it, and it is so me. It's sometimes hard to believe someone knows me so well.

It still hasn't felt too real for me yet but my wedding isn't till June 20th so still have a ways to go too. I have my dress but it needs so many alterations right now I haven't quite got excited about it because I want to know it will fit properly on the big day. Right now I'm starting to look at wedding bands to go with my engagement ring so I can start saving up for it. We have a lot of things booked like venue, food, DJ, photographer, etc. So just sort of at a standstill right now until 2020!

I think it became real once we set the date officially and booked the venue. Right now we have the caterer booked, DJ, photographer, baker and hair person. We ordered my dress in March which is early but I loved the dress! It just came in on Friday and I am picking it up with my mom on Tuesday; she is taking it to her place to store it. I can't wait to see it again and put it on again! We have engagement pictures scheduled for the end of September. Then I want to get the bridesmaid their dress info soon, because we are ordering from Azazie and if they want to do the try at home program I want to make sure they have enough time to do so. But other than that just scheduling a lot of things right now! My dress (not me pictured lol) and my dog!

I’ve had a few moments like that. I got engaged 1 year ago tomorrow and when we booked the venue that was a big one. Also when I got my dress and when invites went out a few weeks ago. I’ve attached pics of my dress & accessories. The pictures are awful, but just random pics of me trying them on.

I remember talking to her about having a wedding before we move, since otherwise we’d probably never get around to actually having one, but we didn’t even know if it would be possible. Once I booked my venue and found my dress, it got a lot more real.

Now whenever I get frustrated or start feeling lost in wedding planning, I just pull up a photo of my dress and know it’s all going to work out, lol. Exactly one month to go and so much left to do, but the most important things on our list are checked off, so I know it’s all going to work out fine in the end!

Its feeling real today!! It started to when we sent out invites. But it really hit home today when I went to the bank to get some cash, and now I'm cleaning and packing! We leave tomorrow to head back to NY!! Only 8 more days!!!
