When did I get so big?! Anyone else depressed by clothes?

Im not built to be small. I was never going to be petite or tiny or cute. I just wasnt built that way. But dress shopping - even for a rehearsal dinner dress - is making me feel huge. Today, on one site, a size 12/14 was an XL. Seriously? Way to kill my "pretty" feeling. Anyone else feeling like...

Don't look at the number on the tag, look at how it FITS you. Just because they want to label a 12/14 an XL doesn't mean it IS an XL.

And it's odd, some people are saying their DB ran small, but I'm a street size 16 but my DB was 14.

I even found that with some dreses I tried on in a local store, i could fit into 12's but I am normally a 16 and at other stores i'd be lucky if a 16 could go on me ... the one consultant would joke saying obviously a man designed this dress because he has no idea what a real woman looks like LOL
