What’s your wedding dress budget?

Just started my dress search and visited a shop this past weekend where I tried on some dresses and the dresses I liked fell into the $2500-$3000 range. I don’t necessarily have a budget, but I’m kind of uneasy about purchasing a dress I will only wear once. But again, I don’t want to limit myself...
Just started my dress search and visited a shop this past weekend where I tried on some dresses and the dresses I liked fell into the $2500-$3000 range. I don’t necessarily have a budget, but I’m kind of uneasy about purchasing a dress I will only wear once. But again, I don’t want to limit myself too. But I do think I should set a budget. So I just wanted to get an idea what everyone else’s budget is and which designer did go with? The dresses I liked were either Pronovias or Sottero & Midgley.

TIA!

My dress was at the very max of my budget and it was 1,200. I’m very excited to wear it this summer! Im afraid that my fiancé will see pictures if I post it.

I told the salon that I do not want to spend over $3,000 and they were very respectful of that. I got a Pronovias dress for about $2,700. Not sure how much alterations will be, they said on average $600... so I shall find out in July.

My budget was $2000. I found my dress for $1200, alterations however has now brought the price up to $1700. Not including my veiI and belt I still need to purchase. I would say keep alterations in mind when setting your budget.

My mom suprised me when she bought mine for me, but in the beginning I was having a hard time just thinking about spending $2000 or more for a dress, I was only going to wear once. We bought a sample gown, ended up spending under $850 with tax, but not sure what alterations are going to cost. I'm also not sure about the designer. I will say just remember to fun with the dress shopping though, because the first 2 places I went to I ended up so stressed out and emotional since I'm a plus size and my options were already limited because of that. I was also struggling with spending that much money.

I had a similar experience at a bridal store, but found another store with a larger selection all under 2000 each. I found one I loved even more that the ones in the more expensive store for 1800. Try a variety of stores, low, mid and high range to be sure!

I personally don't want to spend more than 1,000 on my dress, ideally under $500 but that's hard to say when I haven't even started looking at dresses yet.

I didn't want to spend more than $1000. Couldn't find anything that really spoke to me. I found my dress for $1900 and was trying to talk myself out of it when my mom offered to buy it for me. So I'll have to pay for alterations, but I'm glad I at least put the dress on and didn't look too much at the price tag. Find a store that carries dresses in your range and try on anything that catches your fancy.

My budget is under $600 for my dress itself. I am gambling the DH Gate route bc I want a black gown and you just can’t find variety in stores. If it works out when it arrives it will be $230 before alterations. My accessory budget is separate for jewelry and headpiece and I’m not really limiting myself bc I find such good bargains I can buy three different accessory sets and still pay less than most necklaces or veils alone.

My budget was $700. The dress was $585 but I spent like $200 on the belt so I was a touch over. SO worth it!

My budget was $1500. Found my dress for $1300 before alterations but my grandma has made wedding gowns so I may have her do the alterations depending on the quote they give me!

My budget was $800. I stayed under at $769!! I didn't care about the designer at all. I just knew the style and color I wanted. I didn't expect to want a train but I ended up loving it!! ❤
