What's Your Strategy for Seating Arrangements?

I grouped people who knew each other together as much as possible. Then when they didn’t, just paired up groups with other groups that I thought had something in common.
As a guest of many weddings, I always appreciated a seating chart. Nobody wants to have to wonder “is that seat taken?” It’s like middle school / high school lunch room all over again

I am doing assigned tables. If you add your guest list to you weddingwire account you will be able to do the chart on the website. Very easy to use.

We invited 250 and will be assigning tables based on who knows who. Between the two of us, we should be able to come up with something that works for the dinner part of the reception.

Thanks for the input. It sounds simple. I started adding my guests on the weddingwire application and I will create my seating from there.
