I've always had a fascination with 3 stone rings and I still can't believe I actually have one. I just love the meaning behind them. They are commonly known as trilogy or trinity rings. The three stones that make up the ring represent the past, present and the future. It can also symbolize friendship, love and fidelity.

My FH went all Mission:Impossible on me and had a friend casually take me "shopping" and we stopped in a jewelry store. She was getting married so I thought nothing of it. She ended up getting information out of me about what my dream ring would be.

After hesitation, she got what she needed and when my FH proposed to me a month later, there it was! The same exact ring I mentioned before and I couldn't stop crying because not only did he propose but that's when I found out he went on a top secret mission to find out what I loved.

Show me your rings! What's your story?

FH picked my ring out by himself. The ring has two baguettes on the side of a diamond. He said one dash represents; before we met each other. The other dash represents the end of our life together when we eventually pass away. Between the dashes is a beautiful diamond; it represents the beautiful and meaningful life we’re building as long as possible until the very end. I know it sounds kinda awkward or crazy. But that’s just the way he explained my ring to me.

I’ll just start by saying... I am... Particular. My fiancé and I went to several stores together but couldn’t find a ring that I liked and I had a crazy long list of things that I DIDN’T want in a ring so he was too nervous to go by himself. I really wanted a Heidi Gibson ring but he wasn’t comfortable with me not trying on at least a similar one in a store (he wasn’t totally sold on the style). Finally we found a close-ish one at an excellent family jeweler here in KC and he liked it and decided it was very “me.” So he went back and designed a custom one with them based on my favorite Heidi ring. When we originally found it and were asking about orders, they said it would be 6-8 weeks. But since he ended up doing a custom, it took 13 weeks to come in and since I knew roughly when he ordered it but didn’t know it was going to take that long, those extra 5 weeks dang near killed me!! But it turned out better than I could have imagined and it’s perfect and I love every bit of it. The vintage feel, rose gold, mix of oval, rounds and baguettes, just ah 😍😍

As am I!!!! Yea, his parents were in on it. We were on the top deck and his parents were pretending to take our picture (it was Captain's night so we were all dressed up) and that's when he proposed. In actuality they were recording the whole thing. Unfortunately, the video came out super dark because well we were in the middle of the ocean...at night! lol But it was still amazing and I think the first words out of my mouth was "I hate you" as I was laughing hysterically lol

That is quite special! Your ring is beautiful and so was your FH's gesture to get your family involved. My dad and FH didn't really know each other or talk like that so he actually asked my mom's permission to marry me which I thought was really sweet. Now my FH and dad talk often and have projects together and it's like I don't even exist anymore when those two get together lol

My ring doesnt have a story... I didnt know about it before he proposed. He wanted it to be a surprise. I had always had the idea of a very simple ring, maybe a single small stone. When he proposed... it just furthered the thought of how well he knows me, because he nailed it.

My ring’s second stone is sea glass that my fiancé and I found together ❤️ We have jars and jars of sea glass, and he found one that was the perfect shape and size and got it put in a ring. So special and close to my heart

That's great lol. My FH is definitely not fashionably inclined but that's ok. He's a graphic designer so if anything else he's been really helpful with our invites. I'm SO excited and super happy how they've come out. Still have to wait a little while before ordering them Smiley cry

When it came to invites, my FHs opinion was "I dunno". Luckily we are married in 11 days!

The one I wear right now isn't anything fancy; it was just what we could afford at the time. We decided together that we wanted our 'forever' rings to be special and to match in theme. We got to know each other and started dating because of the game Pokemon, and our favorite evolutions of the pokemon Eevee are opposites of each other; Espeon and Umbreon. So mine will be themed after my favorite (Espeon) and his will be themed after his favorite (Umbreon). They're still being made so I don't have pictures yet but I'm super excited about it! Then I'll take my original ring and put it on a chain or something like that.

When my fiancé and I started dating we went to the history museum where they had an exhibit on gemstones. He asked me what my favorite stone was. I explained that I loved the London Blue Topaz because it was the same color as his eyes. Dark blue, with hints of green when the sunlight hits it the right way. Two years later, he remembered what stone I said I liked the most. He took my sister with him when he picked out the ring. She told me after he picked out my ring he teared up and told her how happy he was. ❤️
