What's Your Day of Transportation Vehicle?

mrsaj2b, on July 4, 2019 at 12:51 AM Posted in Planning 2 46

Weather permitting we want to use our own historic vehicle ('66 Chevy) that we are having restored. I hope it will be ready in time! But if we can't use it, we probably will be using a sports car (Jag F-type) or some luxury sedan. We have no wedding party so anything else is too much for us.

I am just curious as to what everyone is using. Traditional (limo, sedan), historical (Ford, etc.), or exotic (Bentley, etc.).

About to sign a contract for a standard (black) limo for FH and his party/family and also my parents.

...Though I just realized I had kind of planned on getting there by subway, myself, so maybe I need to rethink that, lol.

We shouldn't be doing any pictures with the limo, so I don't care what it looks like, just that it can fit everyone.

We’re leaving on FH’s motorcycle. It’s a Harley Davidson Sportster! We’ve never been to a wedding where the bride and groom have gone off on a motorcycle so we thought it’d be pretty unique!

Ha! Love it!! This is the car we are having restored. This is before all of the work began. My FH loves his "baby"! LOL! So I sure hope it will be ready in time for the wedding. It's an awesome car and will be great for our pics.

If I had a wedding party I'd be doing the limo too. I am not sure I'd go by subway but you would get some amazing pics that way, however!

And it is! My FH also has motorcycles and would do this too if I let him. He can ride off this way but I'd be scared out of my mind. LOL! Thus, the four wheels for me.

Definitely! That’s a beautiful car Smiley smile it’s been a fun process and I’ve been pretty involved in it too, are you having it restored or is he restoring it himself? I can’t wait to see ours finished too! Smiley smile

Oh no. We are having it restored. It's been fun working with the team doing the work but it can be stressful and super expensive!! It's been a two year process and counting but it is shaping up beautifully. I so hope it is ready for the wedding. Fingers crossed!!
