My dad is going to cause a scene. Its not a worry as much as I know it's going to happen so i'm just praying it happens before guests arrive.

My FH's 13 year old daughter is going to cause a scene, she has some mental health stuff and we have a lot of problems with her. We love her to death but we just know she is going to do something. Even when my FH proposed (she was there) she had to throw a big fit and run off down the mountain alone because she wanted the attention on her.

The wedding is in 3 days and I'm worried about any delays that may cause us not to be married.

Poor girl. It's probably a big deal to a pre-teen to see her dad getting married to someone who isn't her mom. I hope your special day is lovely and problem free of course but my heart goes out to her too. GL ❤

Mine was that my immediate family is a powder keg. My sister, mother, and brother do not speak with my father - who is bad at taking the hint and pressures my brother/sister a lot. I'm the one who always minimizes the damage, and I didn't want stuck with that on my wedding!

Well, my dad made it to the ceremony but not the reception. Dad did however send a guilt-o-mail to my sister in-between events (describing how heartbroken she was because sister didn't speak to dad). So the drama still happened, but, I guess, "luckily" not in person...

Her and I have a really good relationship, so it is less about that and more just her behavioral issues. She has been in and out of centers and therapy for it, so it is a problem with deal with constantly. I am having her as a junior bridesmaid, I love her and want her to be a part of our big day, but FH and I both just expect that at some point, she will do something. We just hope its not during our vows! Thank you for your kind words Smiley heart

That must be really tough. I think it's great that you both are including her and that you two have a good relationship. I hope everything goes well! I have been in a similar situation and it helped a lot to have backup plans/strategies for situations where it becomes too intense for him. Less stress for both of us. And anytime Smiley smile

I have a family member who has problem with drinking, a BIG PROBLEM drinking and I worry about him get drunk. He is checking into rehab in a couple of days once the insurance goes through, but I still worry. My wedding isn't until October though, so i'm hoping he kicks it by then. I want him there, I love him, just don't love the person who he becomes when he's drunk

My biggest worry right now is all the logistics of the day of. My getting ready, ceremony and reception spots are all different so the timing needs to be closely watched. It's nothing I need to set in stone yet, so hopefully a few more months and more meetings with my hair/makeup team and photographer will help ease those worries

I think I was just so worried about logistics. We had to set up everything ourselves so I was worried how much time did we have

Someone gets drunk and starts drama (most likely FHs family, as they are already drunk drama creators).
Either that or that my grandma will show up (not invited for lots of reasons).

I’m worried about logistics of going from hotel, salon, back to hotel to drop off car, to the venue, and picking up flowers along the way. As of today I just found out our photographer will be there at 1, which is a bit earlier than I thought. I’m also concerned about my health. I’ve been having some neurological & gastro issues this year and I’m really hoping nothing happens that day.

Not having enough time to get all the pictures done before the ceremony along with doing hair and makeup. Which I plan to talk to my hair stylist, makeup artist, and photographer about all of this considering they know how long it'll take them to do all these things.

I also worry about people showing up that either weren't invited or responded no to the RSVP.

I'm a tad worried about the groomsmen and my FH being on time for pictures after getting ready. Haha.

I'm not stressed over all these things, but definitely things I think of that worry me a little bit at this point, even though I'm still quite a bit away from my wedding day.

    1) family tensions, 2) my look because I was insecure as an older 1st time bride, 3) if our DIY vision & decor we planned for months would come to life.

Although we both had butterflies on the big day, we let go and enjoyed! Everything turned out amazing, with several surprise moments!!!

Clean up and break down at the end of the night since we are responsible. I'm sure we'll get a game plan beforehand.

Also we have a child family member that has Autism and loves to tell stories based around the alphabet. Everytime there is a family dinner with them... his grandparents, parents, uncle, aunts, my SO and I, he insists on having complete silence to tell a story. Even in restaurants. And we give it to him!?! I'm afraid he is going to try to tell a story during the ceremony, or first dance, or grab the Microphone at some point. He is not shy nor quiet about grabbing the attention of talking adults. It comes with the territory but for one day I want the family to try to be mindful. They are used to letting him do it and since those are the boundaries they have given him.....who knows.

    1) Rain. My wedding is on the beach.
    2) Someone (namely, my mother) will cause a scene with my Dad’s side of the family.
    3) Nobody shows up and we don’t have witnesses to complete the ceremony.
