Our food is very different from the rest of you 😂 I feel so casual now. Our event is "semi-formal", no tuxes. The venue is a bar/restaurant and even has an arcade/pool table hall below our reception area. The room is amazing and looks like an old speakeasy (even has a hidden room behind the bookcase). The food is definitely heavy bar food, but OMG delicious. We're having bacon burger sliders, carnitas tacos, green chili mac and cheese, salad and crispy roasted brussel sprouts. Wedding cake is dessert: lemon with raspberry filling, and chocolate with raspberry fudge filling.

I have a hard time mixing themes and levels of classy etc.
If I’m doing semi formal, I’d do buffet, if I do tux it’s going to be served. So super casual food with a semi formal event is okay Smiley smile

I'd say our wedding will be semi-formal, and we are going the buffet route. We haven't done a tasting yet, but this is what we have tentatively decided on:

    Petite Crab Cakes (passed)

    Caprese Salad Skewers (passed)

    Mac and Cheese Tartlets (passed)

    Buffet

Roasted Vegetable Salad with a Chive Vinaigrette

    Herb Roasted Beef Tenderloin

    Grilled Citrus Shrimp Skewers

Penne Pasta w/ a garlic, olive oil and tomato sauce (vegan)

    Garlic Mashed Potatoes

    Roasted Asparagus

    Assorted Rolls/Breads

    Dessert

    Small wedding cake*

    Small groom's cake*

Assorted cupcakes that included both gluten free and vegan options*

    *Flavors TBD
