Transportation! my ceremony location changed last month ( we were offered a FREE venue in a friend’s backyard. It’s on the water and absolutely stunning). But parking at their home is limited. There is a church about a half mile from their house that said we can use their parking lot but now we can’t find any transportation service in the the whole state (Maine) that has availability to shuttle our guests to our ceremony from the parking lot and vice versa for our date (9/21/19). Everyone is booked. We were going to rent a couple passenger vans and have friends/ family drive to shuttle guests but we can’t find anywhere that offers large passenger vans for rent and actually has some available on our wedding day.

Trying to figure out where we are each getting ready and, since one of us will get ready away from the venue, how to get to venue (...we are in NYC, subway is cheap but hot and gross in August, but traffic is UGGGH).

And drama with FSIL that is... honestly a culmination of many years of stuff, but coming to a head with the shower THIS WEEKEND and I am not interested in this drama. She insulted my MOH, made her cry, and now is acting like the victim. She keeps putting FH in the middle, too, and has only begrudgingly offered to talk to me IF HE INSISTS. (She is 26.)

Dress alterations! I went in for another fitting last night, and it still doesn’t fit right. I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt... my wedding isn’t until September (she wanted to start them this early, not me), so nothing has actually been completed. BUT it’s making me look flat chested, which I’m not and everything I point out seems to add to the cost. Example: I point out it slides a little when I pretend to dance, suddenly it’s an extra $300 to take it in around my butt 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Is there a way that you could offer to pay for everyone to get an Uber/lyft?

We're also doing a candy buffet! We are able to use their fridge though so we can bring it up the night before and store it in there so it won't melt. Best of luck to you!

My hair!! I went for a trial this past weekend and it looked NOTHING like the picture I showed my hair stylist! I'm sure we can tweak it but I'm nervous it might not come out right and there won't be anything I can do about it!

Bree, I like flowers but I don’t want to spend a lot of money on them. So, I bought foam roses on Amazon (like others suggested) and I think they look real. I got 50 roses for $16. Let me know if you would like more information on the ones that I purchased.

I have managed to avoid traditional floral arrangements for almost every part of my wedding since my wedding is in November. So I've swapped a lot out for pinecones and lanterns. My bridal party and I will be carrying lanterns down the isle with a small floral accent I can purchase from hobby lobby for a $2. I just need accent florals for my rectangle tables. I've ended up just contacting a florist instead of continuing to fail on making my arrangements on my own. They are actually pretty reasonable. But your pieces look beautiful!

Our guest list! FH wants to invite everyone he's ever met. Thought we had a finalized list and then he went an added ten more people and I've never heard of any of them! I wanted to instill a rule that if the other has not met a friend that we have on our list, they are not invited. I don't want to be meeting people for the first time (aside from family) at my wedding. He disagrees and swears he's still so close with a guy he met once from five years ago that he's considering adding him to the bridal party because he played such an important part of his life once.

We are also getting married at an all inclusive hotel, and I've yet to hear from our coordinator other than when we signed our contract. I know it's still early, we're getting married in April, but I'm a planner, and it's stressing me out lol. I want to know a timeline of when things are supposed to happen.

I'm so sorry this happened to you! Has the venue reached out to try and help with relocating to another venue?

This may sound so naive but I didn't even think to move around in the dress when I'm at fittings!

Not naive at all! I didn’t think of it either, my seamstress is basically amazing (why I even agreed to spend so much money to use her) and she is the one who had me do it!

The DJ. We had one we wanted, but my beloved FH took forever in getting ahold of him and now he's booked. He let us know his wife and son are available though, but the cost is 600!! With a budget of just 1,500 for the entire wedding there is just no way. My friend's husband knows someone who is a DJ and we're just waiting to hear.

My biggest stress is just getting through the last week of school right now!! So much computer work and filing and getting the kids off for summer! I'm just ready to be in full swing wedding planning! Going home in a week to make some final payments and meetings, getting rsvps back so going to start working on tables in a few weeks. Need to try out centerpieces, make handfasting ribbons, pick ceremony music, write vows, and a bunch of the other little things. Trying to buckle down and focus on school for the next week but it so hard! Wedding is only 2 months away!!

My color scheme. I love pastel yellow but I also like coral and teal. So many hard decisions
