What's best for wedding favors?

Hi all,

I am currently trying to decide between the following for wedding favors:

Mini mason jar candles with a personalized label with our names and wedding date

Mini wrapped chocolate castles (we are getting married at a castle)

If you were a guest which would you prefer?

Favors aren’t necessary, The reception is the thanks to guests and I would put any extra money elsewhere, personally. But if it’s between those two, I’d vote for something edible. Candles are such a pain to transport, especially if you’re travelling.

Chocolate. It's a crowd pleaser. If I were a guest and received a candle as a wedding favor, I would take it to be polite but then throw it away when I got home. If I received chocolate, I would be very happy because who doesn't love chocolate!

Edibles are always best. In our experiences as guests, people leave edible favors behind and don’t touch them, and prefer the general guest experience of the reception instead (great food, free drinks and great dj).

Favours aren't really necessary, and the personalized ones tend to be less useful than edible ones. I would go for chocolate.

I think the chocolate castles are a super cute idea for favors since you're getting married in a castle!
