That's a really cool and meaningful tradition! I bet that you guys have had some great conversations in the coffee shop that lead to great memories.

Very cool that you get to spend so much time with family! Do you always meet up the same day of the week? Or does the day change each week depending on schedules, but you still meet up once per week?

Love this!!! I think it's awesome that you have so many souvenirs from concerts. Do you have any special displays or anything for them? My fiance absolutely loves going to see live music, so he collects the ticket stubs from every concert he goes to. For Christmas, I bought him a ticket stub book so he can keep them organized and in good condition, instead of shoved into a drawer!

Ooh a ticket stub book? That's a good idea! Right now I just have a few posters and set lists that are framed and hanging. When we get a bigger place I want to make a room like a "music room" and have all our souvenirs displayed. And someday I want to make a quilt out of all the band tees we have collected.

Those all sound awesome!! I think it's really cool that you go see a Broadway show with your grandma! For your annual trip, do you visit the same location every year? Or do you go somewhere new each year?

We keep it the same day haha just to really have a routine. When we were dating it started off as a way for him to get more time with me but my parents enjoyed getting to know him that way too

Cool!! I'm sure the podcasts help make cleaning a little less of a chore. Gives something nice to listen to. My fiance and I usually play music while cleaning and cooking. I think it's really neat that you guys do theater together!

I've only been to LA once (and it was for a wedding), but from what I saw, that area was beautiful!! You could always alternate years and do one year in LA, and the next year somewhere new. My fiance and I also love visiting new places, but we try to go back to our favorite places every so often too.

Yes! This is the one I bought him: https://smile.amazon.com/Just-Ticket-Stub-Organizer/dp/1441303502/ he can write notes and memories next to each stub, etc. I think the quilt is a fantastic idea! I also like the idea of a music room.

It is. His family is very family oriented whereas mine is more so dysfunctional. It's nice to have that true southern family feel with his. I was considered family by my in laws quick. I just kinda feel spoiled cause not everyone gets such amazing in laws.

We pick a new location every year. So far we’ve gone to Boston, Iceland, road trip to South Carolina, Mexico, and a bunch of little NYC trips since I’m in the Bronx. We’re complete opposites so the trips are also great in spending time with one another but also stepping out of our comfort zone...like I would NEVER go zip lining but we did it in Mexico and it was absolutely amazing!

Weekly dates. Even if it's for cookies andbice cream.
When we travel we like to try different liquors that we have seen before. We buy a bottle and drink some for special occasions.

We watch The Great British Baking Show together every night except on the weekends. He also 'tucks' our dog and I in every night during the week since I go to bed a couple of hours before he does.

For our 1 year anniversary, we spent a weekend in cape cod and while we were there we found this really cool candy store that had a bunch of candy we either never tried before or haven't been able to find in years. So now anytime we travel somewhere new, we look for a candy store and search for candies we can't find back home. Even if we don't find anything exciting we always leave with a bag full of candy. Sometimes 2 lol. Also we never go to bed without watching at least 1 episode of whatever current show we are hooked on together.

It's less that we do it together, and more how we met.

We're both actors. Sometimes we do shows with our friends, and those friends like to have me beat the snot out of DH. (We're both trained in stage combat, and we're the ones who had a swordfight at our wedding.)

That is so cool! I love that you both are able to experience new adventures and see new places together. How do you decide where the location of your next vacation will be? Do you take turns deciding? Or do you both talk it over and decide together?

I love the weekly date idea! And my fiance and I also love trying new beverages at places we visit (though mostly wine). We bring back all kinds of specialty wines, but we always seem to insist that we have to save them for special occasions (since we can't get them locally). So then we sometimes run into the issue of having only those wines at home, and nothing that isn't too "special" for us to open on like a random Tuesday night, lol. So our goal for this year is to drink more of our special wines. What types of liquors have been your favorites that you've purchased on a trip?
