What to serve (besides cake and punch) at a "teatime" reception?

Tia AJ, on November 30, 2013 at 5:21 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

So, FH and I don't have the budget to serve a meal at our reception. We're having a 3:00 p.m. wedding and doing cake and punch afterward (which we've stated on our invites, so people know what to expect).

However, the more I think about it, the more I think I want to at least have some finger foods, etc...with that in mind, what would be good to serve?

I would think that any sort of appetizer food would be appreciated. Mini sandwiches, meatballs, fruit, veggies, dips, etc.

Can you go to Costco or something similar and pick up a veggie tray or cheese platter or something similar? Or they have turkey roll up things that are great.

I would just do something salty or savory to tho with your cake. Sounds like a great time!
