What to do with this space for dancing?

Hello!

I am hoping for some inspiration in decorating the parish hall for the dancing side. The hall is split into two identical sides with typically one being for dinner and the other for dancing.

My original thought was maybe doing icicle lights between the two center florescent lights because I don't believe we have in our budget to do the whole ceiling. We would have the florescent lights off for dancing. I am not 100% sold but I think it could be pretty.

    This sounds like it could be a great way to create some ambiance lighting for the dancing part of the night.

    Would the space below where you are thinking of putting the icicles be the dance floor? Or is the entire space in the photo the dancing half?

    The entire space in the photo is the dancing half. Its quite large to be honest so I was thinking if I did the icicles in the center it would create more of a dance spot.

    Yes I get you, it would mark out where the dance floor is and give it some boundaries!

    I think this could really work. Would you be able to set it up and try it before the big day? Or is this not possible?

    Actually it is possible! We should be able to decorate the whole week leading up to the event.
    I think it could look pretty cool if we do it right.

    That would actually look pretty awesome. I would suggest looking at FB Marketplace to see if you can snag a few strands for a bargain.

    I have good ideas every now and then haha. Smiley xd That's actually where I found a few of my items as well. Saved $20 on a cake stand and table numbers.
