what to do with boudoir photos after the fact

Future Mrs., on February 6, 2012 at 2:02 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 9

All this boudoir talk has got me thinking...

This may be an odd question, but it may help me make a decision. I've been playing with the idea of having boudoir photos taken. One of my reservations is, what do you do with them?

It's not something that I'd like to have laying around the house. If kept in an album, I would keep the album hidden. I won't be blowing any of the photos up to hang on the wall.

What ideas do you ladies have for these photos? Do you simply plan on keeping them stashed away for FH/DH to peek at from time to time?

I cleaned a house for a family where the wife had a photo blown up in their bedroom....it wasn't super risque and didn't show a ton but it was still sexy. This would work if you were private people and others rarely went in your bedroom. But if people would be going in and out of that room, I could see that not being the best.

I would probably just keep them in an album so that we could look when we wanted to.

I can totally understand, I am a picture person and still cant wrap my heAD around the fact I would have pictures and not be able to show people, or just a few--the idea doesnt just sit well with me.

I'd keep them in a locked box under my bed and sneak one of them into FH's suitcase every time he went out of town. lol

We just keep it wedged between some book ends for now; hidden..we don't have that many visitors; and glance at it from time to time..In a few weeks when I'm less busy with my grad school stuff I"ll look at it as motivation to work out more..I haven't really had a persistent regimen since I was prepping for those pics.

But ya, no blown up pictures on the wall or anything lol! I'll probably bust them out when i'm 70 if I ever have kids/grandkids (girls) that are old enough, they can be like wow look at Grandma! lol..well maybe! ..but mine aren't too risque as some B-pics can be.

I have always loved the idea of a sexy picture in a bedroom, as long as its a room just the two of you are in and no on you'd care to see the pic is in.

I'd probably put some of my favorites in the bedroom. I'm planning on being pretty covered up for my shoot anyway. I don't think anyone who happened to go into our room would find it unusual though. I have a painting that I did of a naked lady in our entryway! To me, it's art!

I agree that if I ever do boudoir photos - which I plan on doing for an anniversary present sometime - I am totally ok with hanging one of the more classy and less risque pictures in the bedroom. If anyone's offended by it, then they don't need to be in MY bedroom.

I am giving my FH a photo album of the pictures I did- I am also toying with the idea of printing a few of the sexy but not too risque ones for our bedroom. I also think of it as art like Elisa said.
