What to do with band & design/decor

Help!! I’m getting married in 6 months so starting to get down to the nitty gritty planning. I love my venue but the only issue I have with it is that it’s not a great design for the band/music. I’ve included two images of the blank space and the space during a wedding that I’ve found online.

I feel like the band looks a little random without any stage or decor surrounding it. My planner has said the room isn’t big enough for a stage though with my guest count and band size.
I was thinking a corner stage could work instead but I’m having trouble finding ones to rent in Santa Fe where my wedding is taking place - a lot working against me haha
Does anyone have ideas for how I could make the band area more exciting?! Maybe a rug? Or taller planters to barricade the band?

A few options, depending on your vibe!

A big rug, or overlapping smaller ones (very boho feel)A "dance floor" big enough for just the band, will look like a stage but won't be raised (do a colour different from the floor, maybe black?) Have a dance floor for guests (this will create a barrier for people to stay on and separate the band)Thick greenery/floral garland across the floor in front of the bandUse a split arch for your ceremony, and then repurpose each side to the sides of the band to frame them.

I also love the rug idea. Also, ask the band what they think. They’ve probably played on tons of different “stages”. They might have some creative ideas…and ideas of what works/sounds best.
