Hello everyone! So I have an 11 year old stepdaughter not too sure how to incorporate her since she is kinda in between ages. I don’t want her part of the bridal party per day because I think that should be friends only, and keep the numbers equal and just overall I think it’s tscky to have a kid in it. But she’s too old for flower girl. Maybe instead of ring bearers have her have mine and her dads rings, maybe carry a cute sign, or something. I want to incorporate her somehow but I am stuck but also want her to feel special too.any suggestion?!

We also each have ten people in our wedding party so I would like to keep it the adults. And give her her special place somewhere ya know

If you want to do something special without her being in the bridal party, give her a wrist corsage and have her walk her dad down the aisle. Then she can have a seat.

Then maybe during the ceremony you can call her up and give her a necklace and say a few nice words as your vow to her in being her step mom. So she knows she is included. Then give her a hug and she goes back to her seat.

She won’t be in the bridal party but she will be in the wedding.

I’d run a few ideas by her to see what she’s comfortable with. Could she do a reading? Do you want to do a “unity” ritual of some kind like the sand pouring?

I love this! Im having my 5 year old and his 3 year old walk me down the aisle instead of my dad. But I love the idea of her walking with her dad.

At 10.5 years old I WANTED To be my stepmother's flower girl and will still bring it up that she never asked me. She did have me as her Jr Bridesmaid, but to me it's not the same. In my opinion, if you want to include her I would ask which she wants.

As for my wedding in October I will be having a 21 year old Flower girl because we made a pack years ago that we never got to be flower girls. So who says they have to be tiny, misbehaving girls? Plus have you googled "grandma Flower girls" because they are so precious.
