It’s better to be have more time than to be rushed! I’ve been in several weddings and one of them we started at 7 for a 2:00 wedding! It just depends on how many people are getting their hair/makeup done. Be sure to allow time to eat and rest! My photographer MAKES the bridal party have 45 minutes to an hour to relax before the ceremony, which I think is such a great idea. My ceremony isn’t until 5:30, but we are starting hair/makeup at 10 to make sure we have enough time. First look is at 2:30 and bridal party pictures at 3:30.

If you have make up and hair for you and your bridal party going on that day, then the earlier the better. I had 7 bridesmaids and we began at 7am. And I started at 10:30. It depends on your hairstyle and details. My ceremony started at 2pm and I wasn’t ready until 1:15. Didn’t even have time to get pictures with my bridesmaids in the robes I gifted them! And don’t think of it as you just getting ready, it’s a fun time to hang out and be with your girls.

Your hairdresser knows how long it will take them. I’d go with the professionals opinion. Better to be done a little early, than being half ready!!!

I think you should start around 8-9 am. It might seem crazy but it’s better to get done a little early and have down time then to not finish everyone and be late to your wedding. If you don’t want to go at 8 then start with one of your girls and go when you are ready. It’s your day, you will have enough stress so just to to enjoy every minute.

I don’t know if my 2 BMs will be getting their HMU done or not. Even for just me, I’m thinking of starting of starting at 8am. Ceremony is at 3, pictures at 2, venue is a 90 minute drive away. I hope we’re not rushed.

Our ceremony starts at 6 PM . Have 10 ladies total getting hair done and 7 getting makeup going to start at 9 am to have plenty of time without rushing! Will then head to the venue around 230pm to be there at 3. Have a light lunch, finish getting ready and get pictures done before ceremony!

8 am is not too early. That’s a lot of people for 1 hairstylist & 1 mua. You’ll need all of that time.

Our ceremony started at 2:30 and my hair started at 8. I was actually worried about it not being enough time. But we had about 40 minutes of travel time (to the reception venue to get dressed and then to the church).
it took 2 hours for 5 people to have hair and makeup done

My photographer wants to start at 2 with getting ready photos and I’m doing a first look at 3pm. Ceremony is at 6pm. Hair and makeup starting at 10:30 so yours seems right in track. It’s just me, my sister and 2 others. I think they say about an hour per person.

My ceremony is starting at 2 PM, and my hair appointment is at 9:30, but I have thick, long hair and it might take up to 1.5 hours to style it. She’s scheduling 2 hours for it. It’s 30 minutes from the salon to the church. I’m the only one having my hair done. My mom thought it was way too early too, but I trust my stylist. I told my girls to meet me at the church between 11 and 11:30 to get ready. Our photographer is coming at 12:30 to do getting ready pictures. Good luck!

Since our wedding is at 11 a.m., the wedding party will be at the venue between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. I'm giving some spare time in case someone forgot something plus hair and makeup for me and my girls.

Our ceremony is at 6:30. Sadly we ha e to start getting ready with hair and makeup starting at 10:30am. I do have 9 bridesmaids and I think 4-5 hair and makeup stylist. It took about 2 hours for hair and makeup for just my trial, so yeah depending on how many hair and makeup artists you have as well as bridesmaids they may need to start that early. They usually get bridesmaids ready first then the bride so her hair and makeup are fresh for before wedding photos with bridesmaid. It honestly really depends on your day of schedule. Do you know how that looks?
