What song are you walking down the aisle to?

Jaimie, on January 18, 2014 at 4:02 PM Posted in Planning 0 68

What song will you be walking down the aisle to? And are you having a church or civil ceremony? I might not be able to do the "Bridal Chorus", and have no idea what else I can do.

I let FH pick what he wanted me to walk down to. He chose The Piano Guys' version of the Bruno Mars song "Just the Way You Are." It's beautiful!

    We're having an outdoor ceremony.

    Our wedding ceremony is outdoors.

I'm not using the "Bridal Chorus", but I'm not walking down to anything untraditional either. I'm using Canon in D, but mostly because I like it.

"A Thousand Years" Piano Guys version. I've always loved their music, and saw another bride was using that song (which I wanted for our first dance but it wasn't FH's favorite), so I chose it for walking down the aisle!

I'm walking down to the Christina Perri version of "A Thousand Years" as well. I think I want the bridesmaids/MOH/flower girl/ring bearer to walk down to "It Will Rain" or "Just the Way You Are" and for the moms' entrances I am thinking "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" I am not set completely on these songs so they may change.

My DJ is working on mixing "A Thousand Years" with "I Won't Give Up on Us" (by Jason Mraz) for our first dance. I like the idea of carrying a song over from ceremony to reception. It just depends on how it sounds when they are combined.

Typical Here Comes bride wedding march for me, and not sure about the girls. The guy I am considering plays piano and awesome version of Pure Imagination from Willy Wonka and other fun musical songs.
