This is BEAUTIFUL!!! I absolutely love those tall windows in the chapel. The reception space looks gorgeous too, the high ceilings are really cool. Is the draping included with the venue?

This was actually a venue I refused to look at it. My brother worked their in his teens and I just remember it being very dark. But they had a great package and I thought, it won’t hurt. When I walked in I instantly fell in love. They remolded during COVID and the first thing I saw was this staircase and chandelier and instantly and knew it was my place. Not to mention they have separate areas for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Sentimentally, my brother passed away in 2007 and there’s a part of me that feels this includes a part of him. Petruzzello’s Troy, MI

The height of the ceilings totally makes a difference in how the space feels! Tall ceilings make the space feel larger and less cramped. Awesome that there are multiple spaces within your venue that you get to use as part of the venue rental, and that they include so many things! Sounds like you chose a beautiful venue!

Location!! Location is what sold us on our venue. It is at Bascom Lodge - mountain top in MA. It’s the highest point in MA and there’s a road up to the lodge. We love hiking and found this lodge on our hike. It’s budget friendly but no on-site coordination and it’s best for small weddings. We’re not having more than 30 people.

It doesn't provide the arch, although we could choose to have our florist make something similar!

Our plan was actually a wine barrel with an arrangement, and a half-arch thing, so one of these on one side:

And then the barrel arrangement like this on the other:

because my fiance and I are very different heights, we thought a bit more visual interest would be better than an arch which is too low for him to stand under. Plus, this way we can move the barrel inside for the cake, and the arrangement on top of it will go on the mantlepiece, to pull double duty inside the reception space Smiley smile

Love the idea of a wine cave in Napa!! This is such a cool place for a wedding. Was this a winery you had been to before you were looking for a wedding venue?

I think once you add the lighting to the railing, you really won't need much else for decor! Especially since your wedding will be at night, the lights will be perfect for the decor. I love the idea of reusing the ceremony arch as the backdrop for your sweetheart table!

We’re at the timber lodge at arrowhead golf course .
I think what sold us was the beautiful landscape- which my fiancé loves to golf on- and a very earthy feel. The food is amazing and the staff is very helpful!Very excited for august!

We’re getting married in the town of Harmony, CA. I loved the idea of starting my marriage in Harmony! Hah, plus my parents got married at the chapel there. We’re planning on a little more people to come visit for the wedding so we might get married outside under the large tree they have. Plus it’s in the country side with green hills and cows. I just like it Smiley smile What Sold You On Your Venue? 3

This seems like a really good barn venue! I could definitely see this being decorated in a way that isn't rustic/barn themed, and still fits in with the venue. Is that first photo the ceremony location? I love the view of the fall colors in the background!

Oh wow, that seems expensive for adding drapes! I love the way it looks with the drapes, but I think it would still look gorgeous without them, especially if there are lights and chandeliers in place of the drapes.

We wanted something simple and fairly priced which we found in our venue. They also have a great selection of decorations that they allow you to use which hopefully eliminates us having to buy a bunch of stuff that we may never use again and may have a hard time reselling. The biggest thing is the table settings. Each table has a bunch of mismatched kitchen chairs which we absolutely loved the idea of.

Parking is definitely an important factor!! I've attended events where there was minimal or no parking available on-site, and that becomes stressful for guests to find street parking if they weren't prepared for it ahead of time. Awesome that you found a place with plenty of parking and that fit your budget and vision!

It was after we'd already looked at like 10 other places nearby too, and we were starting to give up hope of finding somewhere near home. Hit us both hard in the feels. 🥰😍
