“Because of the pandemic, we’ve decided to postpone our wedding to ___.” There’s no reason they should feel like they’ve wasted their money. I’m sure they’ll be relieved that they aren’t expected to attend a social gathering.

I think they will understand due to the pandemic. Unless you are totally cancelling your wedding, I do not see how they are wasting their money.

If you are moving it to another day no one wasting their money. So I don’t see a problem with just sending them I’m moving my date because of the pandemic.
