Finally made a appointment! I know what your thinking your getting married in AUG and dont have a dress yet??? Well finally dropped 30lbs and 4 pants sizes, so I'm feeling much more confident! What should I expect? I'm not a girlie-girl. I can't tell you you last time I put on a dress, so its going to be pretty awkward for me! Been to DB several times, and got some ideas of what I'm interested in buying.

Should I wear my wedding shoes? Have my hair styled? All Make-Up?

What to expect? If you are patient, you'll find your dress. I suggest for you to be patient, as sometimes there might be other brides and some people are really picky and want someone to be with them at all times. I think David's Bridal is an awesome place to shop. My dress is from there. And you don't want to go to a fancy store to spend a huge amount for a dress you are only wearing a couple hours. Plus, you have to pay for alterations. So it's a lot of money!!! I'm glad they have stores like David's Bridal so people don't end up with their wallets empty.

My advice is to keep a VERY open mind, what looks ugly on the hanger may look beautiful on and vice versa. also, do NOT feel pressured to buy something that day. try on multiple dresses and pick a few things that you love about it, and if there is anything you do not like about it, just set it aside and dont even question it again. i wasnt shy, and i asked to try on my top two dresses like 4 times each. i kept going back and fourth. finally one of them something just stuck out after a time or two that i kept telling myself i did not like. with the one i purchased, there was NOTHING i didnt like about it. so dont be shy and dont be afraid to say 'hate it'! they wont be offended! it gives them a good idea of your taste when youre honest about the dress. i went in with ZERO ideas, never having even looked at wedding dresses in my life, and i found the perfect one. good luck!

I had a wonderful experience. I was checked in and given a dressing room and introduced to my consultant. I had a list of favorite dresses from the website, and she pulled some of them that they had (some were online only) and some dresses that were similar. She asked me about my wedding so she could get an overall view of what I was expecting and my style. I lucked out and got an amazing consultant. She got me a bra and helped me get into and out of the dresses. I find that it's always the dress that you look most flattering in that always seems to win. Maybe just think about a certain shape of dress you would like or style and go from there. Do you want something fancy with a big skirt or do you want somethjng more sleek and simple? I wore my cowboy boots which Is what I'm getting married in and just did my hair and makeup pretty but not overdone. Go for styles that make you feel beautiful and flatter you and you feel like a bride in Smiley smile
