What Part Of Your Wedding Day Are You Most Looking Forward To?

We are doing the traditional vows because we are getting married in a church and like the traditional vibes, but we are going to write little notes to each other (a little personal touch) to read the morning of the wedding and having our videographer tape us so we can incorporate it into our wedding video.

I’m looking forward to walking down the aisle and see FH at the altar. I’m also doing a secret hand signal that says “I love you”. He will do the same. Then when I’m up there with him exchanging our vows before God and family. Also, my FH’s best man is his brother. At his brothers wedding, FH was HIS best man. FH left their rings in the limo by mistake! Had to call back the limo and delayed the ceremony about 15 minutes!!! So knowing the best man, I’m sure their will be retaliation, lol! we are giving him fake rings just in case he “accidentally” leaves them somewhere. FH will produce the real ones. I always imagined having all of my friends from all the different chapters of my life together in one place, but that was wishful thinking. The few who did come made me feel loved, but there were a lot of people I would have loved to see that didn't make it.

Looking forward to partying at the reception

I can't wait to marry the love of my life but I honestly have two things I can't wait for. Number one being walking down the aisle with my daddy and seeing my FH. I will not be able to look away from him. And number two I absolutely positively can not wait for the surprise we have for my dad at the ceremony. We are getting married in another state and our pastor isn't ordained in this other state so we needed to have someone become ordained to sign our marriage license to make it legitimate. So my dad being the superhero he is went online and became ordained immediately. We've been joking for the last year of planning that he has "a non speaking role" because he keeps joking about showing up in the whole Catholic priest attire. What he doesn't yet know is that we have concocted a plan with our pastor that once she has finished the ceremony and is about to announce us as husband and wife and invite us to share our first kiss that we are going to have her all my father up to the altar and ask him to pronounce us so that way he can say he married us. I am going to cry so hard and smile so hard.

For those of you who are going to ask-- he is a big softy and will most likely be a blubbering fool that day so that's why we didn't ask him to perform the whole ceremony besides we want our pastor to marry us. Also it's a surprise because he is notorious for surprising us all the time.
