What little detail do you care about?

I see a lot of people complain about decision fatigue and “whyyyy do I need to respond to this 10th email about napkin colors”, and I’ve definitely had my moments. But I’m also super Type A and overall really like making these little decisions.

So what little details have you found yourself obsessing over even if it’s totally insignificant in the grand scheme of things? Mine is the chargers lol. My decorator, included with our venue, sent me an option that is so wildly off theme I practically gasped lol. I know in my head chargers are a waste of money and that my guests won’t notice them at all, but I have a vision in my head of the table setting, and that vision includes on-theme chargers! I could practically see my venue coordinator’s eyes roll in the back of her head when I asked for something else and sent along inspiration pics, but who else has a tiny little detail that you’re like I’m sorry I care, but I do?

With me, it is all the little details relating to my theme. I noticed when a lot of people do themes for geeky stuff ,they don't really do the more obscure stuff, like with Pokemon weddings, I don't see people doing all the common and popular pokemon and stuff and not the less popular stuff or references people who play the games would get (I would love to see a gigantimax alcremie cake!). With me, I am really obsessed with including some of the more obscure godzilla references, sure, people not in the know will understand them like why my cake has mutant dragonflies on it, but it makes me happy and my friends in the know would appreciate it.

Yes!! I love that about themed weddings! We’re going to have all kinds of Easter eggs at our wedding, and I’m so excited for the people who will get them! And they’ll just be nice random pieces of decor for the people who don’t lol.

Haha yes! I don’t even feel bad about it. But I’ve been butting heads with our venue coordinator on a couple bigger things recently, so I’m sure when I added chargers to the list of things I’m going to be stubborn about, she was like really?? 😂

Overall decor. I have to keep stressing that my theme is enchanted forest/woodsy not rustic barn. No burlap, haybales, flannel or camo. Not a lot of lace. Yes to lots of greenery, darker colors, and some boho additions.
