What is your “something Borrowed?”

I am having the worst time thinking of something borrowed for my wedding. I’ve got a while to come up with something, but I’m just clueless! My something old is lace from my Grandmother’s wedding dress, something new will be new-to-me earrings that my Grandmother left to my mom & she is giving...
I am having the worst time thinking of something borrowed for my wedding. I’ve got a while to come up with something, but I’m just clueless! My something old is lace from my Grandmother’s wedding dress, something new will be new-to-me earrings that my Grandmother left to my mom & she is giving to me, something blue will (probably) be the soles of my shoes (planning on wearing Tieks). What are y’all using, if you are following this tradition?

I’m not much for tradition, but this is one I’m actually doing. My aunt has my grandma’s ring so I’m hoping to borrow it and wear it on my right hand. Their wedding date is the same as our first date so I think it’s extra special. Plus she didn’t see him for 3 years while he was in the South Pacific in WWII and after they died my aunt got a box of 700(!) letters that my grandpa had written my grandma while he was gone. He couldn’t save hers of course but she did. They were so romantic which is not how I knew my grandpa! It was like reading a novel, just amazing. I rambled a bit there but I think the ring would be a good thing to have with me while we get married Smiley smile

Oh and forgot to add they were so in love their whole life, lived to their 80s! So I’m hoping we’re like them.

My something borrowed was from my cousin who is happily married - it was a diamond bracelet.

My mom let me borrow two matching gold bracelets my dad bought her in their first couple years of dating. If I’m not mistaken, she wore them at their wedding. The day after our wedding, she gifted me the bracelets Smiley smile

My something borrowed and old is my Grandmother’s necklace. My Mom’s worn it everyday since she passed, so it means a lot that she’s loaning it to me and I think it means a lot to her that I want to wear it on my wedding day.

My "something borrowed" is my cousin's hair band she wore for her wedding. Luckily it goes really well with my dress too. Smiley smile
As for the rest, I don't know what my something old is yet. I'm thinking I want my something new to be a really nice perfume... I'll buy it the day before. My something blue will be my shoes.

Personally I despise the color blue (worked at best buy for six years, five days a week. Blue uniform). So we are forgoing tradition in that aspect.

I asked my aunt to wear her head piece from her wedding! We're both really excited about it. But now I'm not sure if it will match my jewelry. If it doesn't work out, I suppose I can consider my grandmother's jewelry borrowed as well as old, as I'm technically borrowing it from my mom. It's kind of a stretch though!
