what is your first dance song?

Bonnie, on May 21, 2013 at 1:08 PM Posted in Planning 0 17

HI brides we are still trying to figure out our first dance song. We love I wont give up by Jason mraz. I just don't know if its appropriate for a first dance at a wedding. What do you think. What is/was yours?

I am playing "Lucky" by Jason Mraz. I like the "won't Give Up" song, but it makes m think of marital difficulties, since there is something he won't give up on. I wanted to go with something all around grateful. They are both excellent songs, like all of his songs. If you like him and want more options Colbie Cailait has about a million songs that would be great for a first dance!

"The Way you Look tonight" Michael Buble or Frank Sinatra

I feel like this is an "In the moment song" so whenever I think back we'll remember that night!

If you love "I Won't Give Up" then use it! It is better to have something that resonates with both of you then something you pick because of more appropriate lyrics or whatever. When you dance, and you both are comfortable and love the song, it will show and everybody will have that "awwwwww" moment.

In the past few months I have played it as a first dance 2-3 times and people really respond to it.

BTW, great selections, all of you! Love the variety and the vibe!

    Congrats and good luck!

To Love Somebody -Michael Buble's version

I originally wanted God Gave Me You by Blake Shelton, but FH wanted something different and isn't the biggest fan of country music.
