what is your father daughter dance song?

I haven't decided yet, but definitely leaning towards something a little more fun- "My Girl", "Margaritaville", or "Joy to the World" by Three Dog Night. All 3 have meaning with us.

Daughter by Loudon Wainwright. The first time I heard it I knew it was perfect for my dad and I.

"Daddy's Little Girl". Not my first, or even second choice song, but my dad specifically requested it. He says that when I was a baby, he would sing it to me and rock me to sleep. Tough to say no to that I suppose.

We're going with "The Way You Look Tonight" by Frank Sinatra.

Prior to my dad passing we got married in small ceremony. We danced to My Little Girl by Tim McGraw. My step dad and I danced to Wildflower by Tom Petty. At our celebration in September I will be dancing with my step dad again. I was thinking of having my cousin stand in for my dad to do the dance with and show a slide show of pictures of us.

We are either doing "Rainbow Connection" by the Muppets (the whole muppets cast- not just Kermit)... my dad is basically I child himself so it just felt like a good choice. Other option is "You've Got a Friend in Me" aka the Toy Story Theme song... Toy Story reminds me of my dad.. he still has a little green army man in his car to tell the traffic to (and I quote) "Move! Move! Move!"

We did "you are my only one" James Taylor. my dad took us to a lot of his concerts growing up, and i always said that would be my surprise wedding dance song with him. he loved it!

My father and I danced to "Your song" sung by Ellie Goulding but is originally done by Elton John

If I Had $**** by Barenaked Ladies we used to dance to it all the time when I was little (and it was a new song on the radio a lot), plus the content just suits us very much. We're not overly affectionate, so the slightly faster beat plus the silliness sums us up great, plus if he had that money he would probably buy me a monkey lol

"Sailing" by Christopher Cross. It's not typical, but apparently that's what was playing when my parents brought me home from the hospital and it reminds my Dad of that. Mom wins that one, it's cute but I probably would've chose differently
