I am going to let my Dad choose...I'm thinking he will choose something in the realm of Stevie Nicks/Eric Clapton/Bob Dylan...he has great taste in music, so I'm excited to learn what he comes up with. If he could, he would choose AC/DC for sure haha but I don't think that they have any songs to slow dance to.

I definitely don't want it to be a cliche song, and I think that he will be able to come up with something a little left of center.

I think now it's going to be What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong version. We were thinking Tupelo Honey by Van Morrison too.

My dad passed away from bone cancer 21 years ago. I carry him in my heart every day! My uncle is going to do me the honor of dancing with me to "There you'll be" by Faith Hill. I will have a slide show going at the same time with pictures of him and I when I was younger. I'll be bawling like a baby, still can't listen to the song without crying even now.

Geez. My dad and I are not comfortable talking about this or expressing feelings to each other unless masked by sarcasm.

But I think what we'll do is combine father/daughter-mother/son dance so that may ease things. I'm not sure what song yet, though.
