heather, on August 11, 2012 at 12:47 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 9

Do i have to send out an invite for that too? or can it be word of mouth or can i just send out a facebook invite..i know facebook sounds a little tacky but everybody i know pretty much uses it..well except for my mom..its a ways away for me anyway but i was just curious!

I've experienced word of mouth & I've seen separate cards (you can make them on vista print) that layout separate BP only activities in the days prior to the wedding.

The only problem with FB & WOM is people can get times and dates wrong if they don't write them down on paper.

I've never received an invite to a rehearsal. Granted, only been to three but...

To me, FB is fine and I wouldn't think less of you if you sent me an invite that way. Why spend more money and time on invites for the dinner?

But that's just me! Smiley smile

We gave everyone a call to tell them when the rehearsal is and when the dinner is. Because it's only family and WP, I didn't think a formal invite was necessary.

I wouldn't do FB, that's a little too impersonal, but that's just me.

I think it depends on your wedding.

Our wedding is formal so we are going to mail rehearsal invitations to everyone.

I wouldn't do a Facebook invite. That's a bit tacky... It may not be THE wedding, but it is a wedding event.

I think personal phone calls would be more appropriate. From there, I don't feel that emails with the details are out of line. But make the first contact a personal one.

We just sent text or facebook messages to everyone who is involved and needs to be there.

I think it also depends on your budget. I plan on just giving everyone a call!
