What is the most stressful part of wedding dress shopping?

I found myself driving all over the city to try on dresses by different designers. I wish can just try on the ones I was hoping to try at one-go. I found myself driving all over the city to try on dresses by different designers. I wish can just try on the ones I was hoping to try at one-go. And after trying on so many, I couldn't find one to commit because there are a few that were absolutely amazing but a bit out of my budget. I wish it was just as easy as online shopping that I can see the styles and compare the price all at once. I found some used and sample dresses by the same designers and in similar styles online, but unsure if I should make the leap as it is a huge investment.

Ladies, do you enjoy your wedding dress shopping? What was the most stressful part of the experience? How does online wedding dress shopping sound to you?

I totally understand. I was updated throughout the whole process. I got my sketch, my fabric samples and my lace options! My dress is currently in production and they told me that I'd be getting updates. When I do, if they just so happen to be photos, I wouldn't mind sharing them.

My Anomalie stylist has been so great and patient! I have someone else who wanted me to give them updates so I'm going to save this discussion to keep you posted as well. When are you looking to purchase your dress?

I actually bought a ceremony and reception dress from stillwhite and they were both brand new with tags on! Both were around 70-80% off and I was able to stay well within budget for TWO dream dresses. I highly reccommend!

I think wedding dress shopping is the most fun part of wedding planning! But it can also be very stressful, especially when you try on so many and they all start to look alike. But once you know, trust me you’ll know.

I enjoyed it. I went to 3 different bridal boutiques and I was also in search of specific dresses by specific designers. That actually made it easier on me because I wasn’t wasting my time with dresses I knew I didn’t want. Once I narrowed it down to the specific silhouette I wanted, that narrowed down the dresses I wanted to see. I tried on about 25 dresses total, but once I put on my dress, I knew it was the one.

For me, the most stressful part was looking for a dress that fits my body. I have wide hips and a belly and usually finding dresses in general is hard for me. There were a bunch of dresses I loved on models that I thought would look good on me but didn’t and I had my mind set to finding dresses that were a-line or ball gown dresses. Something that seemed sliming to my body type. My SIL has to remind me multiple times to keep my mind and options open and one day I asked to try on a fit and flare dress and to my surprise, I loved it! It had the perfect amount of mesh, beading. It is also is a sleeveless dress which I was hesitant about because I’m too heavy but all together it just beautiful and very dreamy. Plus it was a discounted dress and I definitely couldn’t say no to that!

I tried mine on in the salon. It was out of budget. However, I came home and shopped samples and found my dress for less than half what they wanted at the in person salon. It arrives on Tuesday. My only concerns are that I won't like the color - I think I will (but it's pale ivory and I wanted white). I'm also wondering if the accessories I chose to go with the white dress (my planned dress) will go with the ivory one. I loved shopping this way - designer dress on my terms. It's an Essense. I also have a return policy, so I'm covered either way! Smiley heart

I can not do the whole online shopping thing I have to touch and try on. I already have my dress thanks to my bridal party but I thought I would have more fun but as soon as I put the first dress on I was like “this is embarrassing I’m too big for these dresses nothing is sitting right on me I just wanna leave!”😩😩😩 but that’s just me and it probably didn’t help that one of my sisters said oh gosh you’re a champ for going wedding dress shopping without losing weight cuz I’d be crying if I was as big as you and had to try on wedding dresses🙄😒😭🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m surprised that your bridal consultant would show you something over budget! Next time you go in, maybe you could mention your budget upfront and ask not to be shown dresses over that price point.

Hope you will love the dress. I think if your wedding is outdoor the ivory color will come through very nice in pictures! Which website did you shop on? I might just do the same too!

That was not a nice thing to say. You will look good in the one on your wedding day! I feel the same, I don’t like going shopping with other people. It stresses me out if they have different opinions. Will you do it online given this experience?
