What is the best phone App's to share wedding pictures???

Trish, on September 14, 2012 at 1:35 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 10

Has anyone used one of these? I have found about 5 different apps but all seem to have some sort of issue, fuzzy pics, must do some facebook thing too first, can't edit on album, only works on iphone 4 but not 3s, etc. I would love to give my guest the opportunity to use one of these apps but would like it to be painless on their end to set it up and get the best deal on my end. Smiley smile Thank you! Smiley smile

Hmmm.. google huh? I had not thought of that ... Can you use google as a wedding photo sharing app? I am trying to stay away from public sharing things like facebook for this type of thing. On a side note: I actually have a dropbox account. I use it to gain access to any document I store in it from any computer/anywhere. You can save pics in it but it is not necessarily a photo sharing app (but super handy on all other aspectsSmiley winking.

I'm looking at these sites (to name a fewSmiley winking:

Dropbox is awesome. My FH and I share one. It will upload to the cloud type of thing then you guys can go through them. Once you edit them/choose which ones you like, you can send a link of the folder to your guests so they can see pictures.

Hey there! I've got a great rec for you. I used Capsule for my wedding. It's a web and mobile app for photo sharing, and it's private! I went to their website and bought my package ($99--pretty darn cheap), then invited all my guests to download the mobile app. Everyone took photos on their phone on my wedding day and directly uploaded them to an instant feed.

With response to the problems you're encountering, everyone's photos were completely hi-resolution, I had editing power, guests can comment on photos, I ordered prints after the wedding, and your capsule lasts forever which is really cool. Highly recommended!

It sounds to good to be true Alissa? Are you already married? It says your wedding date is not until next year?

I just went on their site and posted some questions. I will post the answers once I get them (for anyone interested in using the app tooSmiley winking.

    1. It appears I can download photos and print them myself, if that true? if so can you download several at one time or only one at a time?

    2. Can you play a slide show on the tv's in the venue live?

    3. Does it work with ipnone 3's?

    4. Can you create different albums? Ex: bachelorette party, wedding, day after wedding.

    5. Do you currently have a promo code? please? Smiley winking

    6. Do you have templates to download and print cards for the wedding tables so people can download the app?

    Here are their answers:

    1) Yes, you can download and print the photos yourself. Currently, you can download either one or all the photos at a time. We also offer a photo printing service where you can order prints of your favorite pics, and have them sent to your door.

    2) You certainly can! Connect a laptop or desktop to a TV or projector, go to the photos page of your capsule, and hit TV Mode. Now you'll have a big projection of all the things going on at your wedding live.

    3) It should work with iPhone 3's, and if you were to have any problems, we'd fix it up for you.

    4) If you buy a wedding capsule, you get unlimited capsules, so yes, you can make multiple albums.

    6) We do, but not officially. What you can do is e-mail us 2 photos, and we'll send you back the images with templates you can use to set up on tables. Here is an example of another couple's cards with the code blacked out for their privacy.
