What do you wear under the dress? panties.... bra?....no bra....

Dan's Future Wife, on November 3, 2009 at 3:43 PM Posted in Planning 0 29

Lol ok so this is a weird question... I wanted to know what stuffiness do you wear under... and for what reason? would someone wear something to make their stomach look smaller or slimer? if so.. then on the wedding night do you take it off or do you let your husband deal with it? lol lets see how these answers go...

I personall am not wearing a bra. My gown back doesn't really allow for one, but the dress itself is suppportive enough so I don't have to (even though I'm fairly large chested!). I don't think something to make your stomach look small is really appropriate, although you will look slimmer for pictures, its not really worth it on your wedding night, at least in my opinion. I am investing in some risque underpants, so it should be fun Smiley smile

It all depends on your dress. Mine sucked me in and there was zero need for spanx. I wore a bridal bra that came down to my hips and had like 20 hooks, and was strapless. For undies I just wore basic nude color underwear. When we got to the hotel I let him take off my dress and bra, then went to the bathroom to change into my lingerie.

I have a gorgeous lace up corset under my dress. I have a very curvy hourglass figure and since the corset is white and lacy FH will love it. Im wearing some very sexy panties underneath as well with a garter belt.

Thats what my FH thinks! Although since hes Army, he will be in his really hot (both figurativly and temp wise) so he said once we get back to our hotel we should just strip, no further activity needed lol

    Hhmm....

"Aussie" => would you be wearing it through out the wedding? Cuz I have this thing that after being up and down at the beach all.... dont you think mistakes/getting durty/ down there could happen? and..... hows the garter and panties gonna look? I think I would like a break to go to the bathroom(that way you change or get details down there fixed) before getting it on in the night..... dont you think?

I would say even if you don't want to wear a bra (or can't because of your type of dress) you should at LEAST wear some rubber stick-ons. Let's be real (and possibly a little graphic) for a second... you're wearing a white/ivory dress.... if it gets cold (either b/c its cold out or the AC is high) and certain things get pointy if you're not wearing a bra its going to be VERY obvious. Keep in mind that you will be taking pictures, and this will show up in those pics so you might have to pay extra to have that edited out. Obviously a bra won't make it go away, but the rubber stick-ons are pretty helpful

He likes the sexy stuff. He likes the challenge of having to work around the bra to get in there. lol I rarely wear it, but I got a lot for my bachelorette party so I have a lot of it.

"The Potters" Men are just weird.... lol I think my FH wants to take his time in undressing me since its gonna be our FIRST actual day together.... and I guess the thought of rushing it wouldnt be good for me nor him. Since I've never been undressed..... neither has he..

I plan on wearing spanx and long line bra... not pretty. My dress is very curve hugging so I want to be as tight as possible. I will make a quick stop to the bathroom with my MOH just before i go up to my room to change my spanks into cute undies.

Yeah I mean I would definitely go for the idea of a bra over stick-ons..... but if someone's dress doesn't allow for that I say at least wear a pair.

I'm debating on letting him "take it off"..... what I might do is find some sexy bridal lingerie... say I need to go to the bathroom first... take off the practical stuff and put on the sexy stuff.... then put my dress back on and let him think that's what I was wearing the whole time

Even tho I don't have a large chest I know I'd be uncomfortable without a bra on. So I'll be wearing a long line strapless bra with my dress. I'll also be wearing a slim line slip (like spanx) to smooth out my silhouette since the skirt of my dress is satin. Satin can be really unforgiving because it tends to show shadows if you have any curves or lumps you have. So I'll be wearing the slip to make sure it's all smooth.

I really don't think your husband is going to care if you get back to the room and then need to go to the bathroom to change. I think they like the suspense. My husband took off the dress and I went to the bathroom and changed and came out all sexy!
