What do you do with your guest book afterwards?

We are asking eveyrone to send up old pics of us and them from the past, and when they get to the reception they will have thier pic taken and be given a card to write us a message. they we will be having the old and new pics along with the massages made into a scrap book.

We are doing a fingerprint guestbook tree. We got matching ink stamps at michaels for 50cents after using a 50% off coupon, and I bought the tree from www.etsy.com for $20. We will have someone at the table directing people on what to do. Then we will frame it and hang it :-)

I couldn't justify spending $20-$30 for a empty book that I will never look at. But this is art, and I will cherish it always.

We are doing a wishing tree and keeping the tree for our new place but then we are taking the tags and scrap booking them.

We got a one of those picture pictures frame you can sign. We are putting one of our engagement pictures in the middle. After the wedding will are going to hang it in our living room.

We did a photo mat as well and we LOVE it!

I'm doing a scrapbook and having people sign little leaves and then placing wedding pictures, shower pictures, honeymoon pictures in it ... basically I'm getting a sketchbook type of thing (since scrapbooks are technically already covered in plastic on the pages) or I'll put about 25 large 12x12 pieces of paper out and have people sign ... to later place in a scrapbook

I am not doing a guestbook... I don't see the point- I know who's coming to the wedding (well I will know) and I know their addresses since I sent them all the invites!

We will also be doing a signature frame, actually two & will be hanging them up in our home as well!!

Didn't read all the comments- but we are doing a photobook with our e-pics and other pics of us while we are dating, leaving plenty of room around the edges and every couple pages will be blank. that way we will actually want to look back on the photo memories.

A plate can be fun, a photo booth can be fun because many of them come with a guest book. There are some fun options out there. For my couples I use a guest book that also has engagement photo spreads in it such as Melissa above... That way my couples have something that means twice as much.

We are also doing a thumbprint tree.

We are going to have some nice paper out for people to sign, and then put the paper behind the tree when we frame it. I figured I would much rather have a nice, sentimental piece of art for our home rather than a guestbook that would sit in the top of a closet.

My sister had the traditional guest book...no way. We found this on Etsy and have ordered a wine bottle shaped guest book. Everyone signs a wooden heart and drops it inside! Cannot wait to use it!
