What did you have done 7 months before your wedding?

Kate, on January 4, 2018 at 6:16 PM Posted in Planning 0 13

Hi! I am getting married in August and am getting worried that I don't have enough done! What did you have planned 7 months before? Also, what planning tools did you use to stay organized?

Thanks!!

Dress, photographer, bridal party dress and shoes, cake, florist, tux rental, venue, dj and my venue is decorating and catering so that was handled. What kept me organized is TheKnot checklist, tells you when you should have things done by and what’s overdue. I also have a planner that tells you what needs to be done. Got it from Michaels.

Nothing because I got engaged 7 months before our wedding haha! In the first month I did a ton: bridal party, venue, cakes, photographer, usually, caterer, day of planner, and worked really hard on my save the date and website so it was all ready to go.

I have most things planned and I’m getting married in July! But i also got engaged a year ago. We picked out the bridal party attire but haven’t actually gotten it yet. I plan to make my own flowers and decorations so I need to do that. We also need our rings. I do need my jewelry and shoes.

We have venue/date, photographer, videographer, DJ, cake baker, hotels, transportation, my dress, honeymoon booked, Hair and makeup people. We just sent out save the dates as our Christmas cards. I think all the big stuff is done Smiley smile

I'm also getting married in August. We have the venue, caterer, photographer, dress, dj, officiant, his wedding band, engagement photos, save the dates, and I've been working on some DIY decorations while I've had time.

Wasn't engaged yet! I had almost everything planned the first month, and we have a few things left to do now but it should be all done by the end of next week (we get married in April).

I mostly used WW and TK as far as online resources, but our venue cost also includes a "part time" wedding planner so that has also been helpful!

I'm getting married 8/18 and I'm done with the exception of bridesmaids dresses being in and tuxes ordered. My gown is in and all fittings scheduled, have the venue, dj, officiant, caterer, flowers, decor, accessories etc.. We have our invites ready to go out and I even have the gifts for both sides of the wedding party. We are both parents, work full time and I go to school full time too, so I just wanted all the big stuff done so we didn't have to stress. The wedding wire to do list was really helpful for me so I was sure i didn't forget anything. I've already basically finished the timeline for the day of, although I know that may change when the day gets closer.

Venue, caterer, DOC/decorator, photographer, florist, officiant, dress, bridesmaid dresses picked, DJ, miscellaneous rentals secured, engagement photos done and now we have the videographer, hotel blocked, honeymoon booked, and scheduling hair and makeup trials. Wedding is in June. I got started super early and it worked out really well.

I’m done with all the big things. Waiting to do BM dresses and schedule my fittings. Once we get closer we will discuss and finalize centerpieces, ceremony decor, and food with the venue.
