We decided on Friday evening. It saved us 1,000 on the booking fee for our venue! Most of our guests are teachers, so any weekday would have worked for us!
Thursday! Half of our people are coming from out of town anyway, so they'll make a vacation of it and then our locals can just come after work that day and get back home at a reasonable time or hang with us and take the next day off for a long weekend.
We are having a Thursday evening wedding. We are doing a destination so our guests are traveling long distances anyway, now we want them to be able to make a mini vacation out of it and stay the whole weekend if theyd like.
It’s on a Friday because that’s how it just ended up working out. We picked our date because both of us have a birthday on the 22nd so we wanted to find a date in 2022 and on the 22nd and the date that best worked was 7/22/22. So we are having it on a Friday.
Saturday, we considered Friday or Sunday just for cheaper options also, but we're kinda set on the date and the venues we looked at (no we haven't booked anything yet) all have that date available. The ones that are too pricey on Saturday were also pricey for Friday/Sunday so it didn't really make a difference at that point.
Sunday. We wanted to get married on the 3 year anniversary of the day we first met. This happened to land on a Sunday. Happy accident because by picking a Sunday, we were able to save enough money to upgrade our food packet.
