Hi, I'm getting married on a Saturday. My wedding is 40 min away from the city my guests and the groom and I live. We didn't want people to have to worry about getting off work in time to get ready and get there or having to leaving early because they had to work the next day.
Saturday. Our fall-back date is on a Sunday but it's looking like we'll be able to secure a venue; goal is to get married on 10/10/2020 but it's a very popular date so many venues are already booked solid. If we couldn't, we'd do 10/4/2020 which is my fiance's birthday and would've made us the third generation to get married on the groom's birthday but many people expressed they'd prefer a Saturday.
We are getting married on a Thursday, not only do we have beautiful venue but it's saving us a lot of money and leaving us with more flexibility with other expenses.
We are planning on Tuesday, the small Chapel aren't allowing us to book this venue in advance because the community uses for monthly/weekly functions. We are planning to visit in person and attempt to pay.
At first I was going to do the Sunday before Memorial Day next year because Sunday's were cheaper, but I decided to stick to a Saturday because I didn't want to come in between family and friend's traditions they might have for Memorial Day. So I am getting married May 9th, 2020!
