What color is this dress?

I tried on this dress yesterday and fell in love with it! The only problem is that, while it comes in ice blue, ivory, and white, the only colors they think they can order in time for my September wedding are the blue and the white. I’d almost lean toward the blue because I’m afraid stark white...
I tried on this dress yesterday and fell in love with it! The only problem is that, while it comes in ice blue, ivory, and white, the only colors they think they can order in time for my September wedding are the blue and the white. I’d almost lean toward the blue because I’m afraid stark white would not look good with my skin tone, but I would love some opinions. My fiancé and I want to keep our wedding pretty traditional, and I’m afraid the blue dress is just a bit too out there.


What do y’all think about it? Does it look really blue? Thoughts on white dresses? Oh, this is a Catholic wedding if that matters. Thanks! cfb_1474623.jpg

    Love it...but my dress is light blue, so I'm probably biased.

    It white but you can notice the blue undertones! My dress has pink undertones. Its honestly the new style to not be completely white!

    I love ice blue wedding dresses. No problem with them in the Catholic Church. Look around, from statues to art, historically and now, blue is the color of virginity, not white, which is why the Virgin Mary is always portrayed in some shade of blue.

    I’m kind of late to the discussion, but wanted to know if you ended up getting this dress. It’s absolutely beautiful & most certainly looks like a wedding dress.

    I think the ice blue is really pretty and would probably opt for that over white if ivory is not an option. It looks like you have fair skin with cool undertones, so I think the hint of blue would actually be more flattering that stark white, which could make your complexion look a bit gray or sallow by comparison. I think if you go white white, you'd need a tan and some golden color otherwise you might look a bit lifeless.

    If you have the option to try on a "white" dress, I would do it, even if its not the same dress. Ideally a white dress in the same brand, but if not, any white dress would do. I think it would give you enough of a comparison to decide which color works best for you, or if you really do want/need an ivory dress and need to choose a different style.

    I do think it looks bridal and would not have concerns about it looking too much like a prom dress or not being appropriate for a church setting.
