Hmmmmm I figured whatever my venue offered. I should check.

But you can also try a Prosecco or a Cava.

(I think the occasion warrants champagne though lol)

Whatever the venue is providing. All I know is that it cost $30 a bottle and we are having it for just the two of us. Everyone else can toast with whatever drink they choose.

Dom Perignon and Moët nectar are my favorite. For the wedding we will not be providing champagne and using what the venue provides. I feel it would be wasted. We will have a bottle for ourselves the night of or the next night.

FH's brother is an accomplished homebrewer and is making some of his award-winning porter for FH and some cider for me. I had a grand illusion that we'd use the cider for the toast, but then came to my senses and realized a lot would be wasted that way, so I think we're just going to have the guests toast with whatever they've got. Cider for me, though! Or maybe one of our signature cocktails...whatever I've got in my paw at the time Smiley winking

I don't like champagne. I've agonized over my cocktails for months trying to make sure I have something everyone would love so we'll stick to that

I'm using Non alcoholic sidra. I'm pregnant, and many many of my guests down drink at all. there will also be lots of kids in attendance AND most people don't drink the whole glass anyway so this way everyone can join in.

there WILL be a full open and free bar so it shouldn't be a big deal to have a non alcoholic toast

We are not doing champagne. We will just let everyone toast with what they are drinking. I see it as a waste of money since people normally only take a few sips. IMO.

We just decided not to have it. Our guests will have a drink from the open bar and it wasn't worth the $$ for a champagne toast.

We're letting guests toast with whatever is in their hand. However, FH & I will have our own sentimental bottle of Dom. We buy a bottle for all our very special occasions. Before I had the good stuff, I thought I hated champagne too lol

I'm also not a big fan of sparkling wine, however I do love champagne. I'm with cat lady with the Louis Bouillot Perle d'Aurore Rose. Definitely one of my favorites!

We've been drinking a lot of sparkling rose moscato, which I never thought I would like (my fave is Innocent Bystander). It's a pretty color, it's a little sweeter than champagne and it doesn't cost a fortune.

We had Mionetto prosecco available at the bar along with beer, wine, and liquor (open bar) and guests could choose what they wanted to toast with. The prosecco ended up being the most popular beverage and the bar ran out of it eventually (maybe an hour or two left st the reception-- well after toasts were over). I felt bad, but the bartenders said most people just switched to white wine or G&T. We just told the beverage company the number of guests and the brands of alcohol we wanted but I guess they underestimated how many people would order prosecco.
