What are your songs? :)

Abigail, on October 13, 2016 at 2:02 PM Posted in Planning 0 19

I'm just looking around a little to get some ideas for songs for our wedding. I know there are lists on wedding websites, but some of them have tons and tons of songs. I'm just curious what some people have chosen or are maybe thinking about and why you chose that song, I think it's cute to see what other's songs are Smiley smile

Walk down the aisle song, entrance to reception song, first dance song, etc Smiley smile

I'm not sure about the parent dance or recessional yet. Thinking about using ever ever after by carrie underwood for recessional.

I know our first dance song is definitely Kiss Me by Ed Sheeran. No idea what the bridal party will walk down to, but we're planning to walk out to Don't You (Forget About Me) by Simple Minds haha. I love The Breakfast Club and FH is a fan of 80's music, haha.

All our ceremony music was from LOTR specially

    Me: Many Meetings from LOTR

    Recessional: Concerning Hobbits from LOTR

Enter reception: Get Up by Korn and Skrillex

First dance: I'll Follow You by Shinedown

    Father/daughter: Cinderella

Mother/son: When You Need Me by Springsteen

All our cocktail hour music was 60's, 70's, 80's classic rock. And then dance music was 80's, 90's, and now. People said it was the best music they've heard at a wedding

We're doing a Beatles theme for the ceremony music! We're just having a pianist play, so I'm really excited to hear it all!

    Bridal Party: Across the Universe

    Bride: In My Life

    Recessional: I Will

Then for the reception, our first dance will be the Straight No Chaser version of "Soldier" by Gavin Degraw, and father/daughter dance will be "I Loved Her First" by Heartland. Haven't figured out the songs for mother/son and anniversary dance yet!

Haven't really gotten around to picking all the songs yet, but we're thinking I'll Follow you is what I'll walk down to, and our first dance will be Leave Out All The Rest by Linkin Park. It may not seem like it fits exactly, but it's been our song since day 1

The only song I've decided on is our first dance which is going to be Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud.. I know it's probably been over used for first dances, but ever since it came out (before we were even engaged) I've loved it and FH would sing a part of it to me every time it came on so it's kind of become our song.. I can't imagine our first dance being to anything else.

I'm walking down the aisle to Elvis "Can't help falling in love" because FH is a huge Elvis fan. It's a surprise. He will love it. Other than that we are going to dance to "Let's get it on" because that is our "kitchen dancing" song we go to when we need a pick me up.
