What are your must play songs and DO NOT play songs??

Haha Brittany! Chicken Dance is on my do no play side!! However, I did consider having a dance with the children at the wedding and doing the chicken dance. I'm a teacher so I've had some of the kids in class at school or at church so I thought that would be cute, but that was the only that that song or the Hokey Pokey was going to be okay.

We have one do not play song. It's Greek. It's back in the day when it was cool to be a douchebag in Greece. The song says, and I kid you not, "I'll live like a free bird, not a sucker in a cage, I'll fly from canary to canary, will live for 20 lifetimes, and if I want to snuggle, I'll pick a girl". What a great wedding message!

It's played in nearly every tacky wedding around here. So definite no no!

Edit to make this comment remotely relevant: We're not doing Britney Spears either, and nothing with a less than positive message appropriate for a wedding where everyone's happy. But there will be rock - lots of it!

Do not play: any chicken dance/macarena/YMCA/etc. etc.

Absolutely under no circumstances is my DJ to play, the YMCA, Shout, the chicken dance, or the locomotion song, or macarena.

No cha cha slide or chicken dance or any cheesy line dances. Cupid shuffle is okay... I have a wide range of taste in music. It ranges from 90's alternative to current hiphop and rap to old and new country!

Sorry in advance.... But I cannot stand 'Don't Stop Believing'!! On my do not play list - highlighted, starred etc. we have a group of friends who I know love the song and will probably request it.. Maybe that would be a good time for me to take a bathroom or drink break lol!

We don't really have a "must-play" list yet. However, the DO NOT PLAY list is basically Fetty Wap or any similar artists. Since FH and most of our friends are into hip hop, we don't mind that. But newer "hip-hop" like Fetty Wap is in it's own genre of BAD.
