I love Uptown Funk! That is my jam. Wagon Wheel is another must have. We met while performing with our line dancing team, so we will have a ton of those as well.

    No rap for us!

I like Uptown Funk too! See, I like some rap and I just want to be able to dance the night away. However FH is not such a big fan of the same music haha.

No YMCA? I don't want to play that one, but I didn't know if that was one that people actually liked to do??

YMCA reminds me of 8th grade dances. -_-

Must play is Love Like Crazy by Lee Brice, we got engaged to that song and it has kind of been our anthem. The only song for do not play so far is Marry You by Bruno Mars, FH doesn't like it because he says "we're looking for something dumb to do, hey baby I think I wanna marry you" lol

Cupid Shuffle=NO NO NO. We hate the song and his family is obsessed with it so they are going to try and get shut down and keep trying because they are stubborn. But we love them even if they have terrible taste in music. lol

    ETA: correction.

cuban shuffle? Sorry, pre-coffee. Don't get me started on how I was trying to text the word dogs and kept typing dongs over and over....lmao

We had a brunch and WW had me worried that people wouldn't dance, so anything our guests wanted to dance to was ok with me. I didn't really have anything on my do not play list. My DH only said "no Lionel Richie songs." I don't know why, but apparently he hates Lionel Richie. I later saw the raw footage of the reception and while we were outside getting pictures taken, a Lionel Richie song was playing and the dance floor was packed. I just had to laugh.

We only have one must play song right now, which is our first dance song.

The do not play list is pretty long so far. It mostly includes the group dances, Electric Slide, YMCA, Cupid Shuffle, Chicken Dance, etc. Also no Britney Spears. I don't have the list on me, but those are the main ones FH and I feel strongly about.

I love cha cha slide! Our DJ asked for a list of plays and do not plays other than our special event songs.

Reyna- I am walking down to Never Stop by Safety Suit.

We will have Cupid shuffle and shout be our only "typical" wedding dance songs. Anything else on the "top 100 wedding dance songs" are likely a no. We will have a lot of country, top 40, 90s music

Do Play: Today's Hits (Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, etc..), a few slow songs, but mostly upbeat dance music.

Do NOT Play: Anything Rap or Country, or the Chicken Dance! My FFIL keeps bringing up the Chicken dance, and I will totally flip my shit if he gets the DJ to play it. lol
