Postponing due to COVID and also these forums helped me to realize a few things about my wedding that aren't really a big deal if I skip them or do something differently. If I could go back in time, I would definitely do a few things differently and worry less about other things. Good learning experience though!

Yay!! I'm glad someone sees it, showed FH the picture without the dress in it and he loved it too. I think for some people it may be too much mixing but I love it. Think it will look great with aspens, a creek, and granite peaks behind us!! I found a few of them on etsy and they had great reviews!

I'm buying the dresses, so they have to wear what I tell them! KIDDING!!! I am having all 3 in the same dress/peacock color. I let them pick their top 5 dresses from the same site, and by some miracle they all had this dress in their top 3. Plus they all got to try the dress on before we purchased (thank goodness for that feature from Azazie!), and 1 of them tried on 2 other dresses that they ended up not liking as much.

My wedding was postponed and all the girl had there dresses, they were convertible ones and they were going to wear them all different way, well then I say the dress pictured and fell in love!! So they all said that it was okay if we changed them so we did!! There all wearing the same dress

Because no two ladies have the same body type, height, etc, they get to wear any sleeveless long black dress of their choice. That also gives them the chance to wear them again in the future. They also get to pick their own shoes (any color) and any jewelry of their choice.

I had 7 bridesmaids. I picked 3 colors from Azazie and allocated them as follows: 3 navy blue, 2 Caribbean, 2 sky blue. Then I made a spreadsheet and let the girls choose their color first come, first serve. I know the last girl to pick didn't really want her color, but I didn't want to make someone switch.

For styles, I told them any floor-length dress that wasn't satin (too early 2000s for me haha), and one that someone else hadn't already picked. Since Azazie has 100+ styles, probably 200 at this point, I figured that was enough for everyone to find something they liked. I know at least one girl bought hers on Poshmark, which was something I allowed/encouraged them to do.

My goal was to be as chill/flexible as possible to maximize the likelihood they'd get a dress they actually liked as well as to minimize their costs, while still having a cohesive look. I haven't seen pics but everyone I saw looked great (like they always do!).

I did something pretty similar to you - specified the color and length, and asked each girl to pick a different style from each other. Great idea on telling them to check Poshmark or other places for cheaper prices! I wish I had known about Poshmark at the time my bridesmaids were buying dresses, just to help them save some cash.

Originally I was going to do same color/length and let the bridesmaid decide. I went with David’s Bridal, but 3/5 girls liked the same style so figured they’d all match.

Here's what my girls are wearing! Everyone is going to be in the same dress. They are long dresses since it will be October.
