What are the top things to be done?

What is your top 5 things that you felt needed to be done first? I’m 13 months away from wedding day and all I have is the venue chosen.

I’ve chosen my photographer but FH thinks we should wait until next year. So many people have listed that they already have one scheduled so I think we should grab the one I want.

I'm 9-10 months out. I've picked out what I want to do. But we're getting our engagement photos done tomorrow.
I'm hoping to send them out mid July.

It’s amazing how many people mention photographer. FH thinks we have time to wait where I’m a planner and he is the procrastinator.

That’s awesome. I’m not sure if I am going to do engagement photos or not. Second marriage for both of us. Good luck tomorrow and I hope they turn out the way you want them.

I am just under a year now but I started right after getting engaged in December because my FH left on deployment so we had to get big things figured out while we could still talk and he had internet that worked.
    Budget
    Venue
    Photographer
    DJ
    Guest list
    Food vendor
We are doing a photobooth that also doubles as the guest book.
    Dress

    Happy planning!

Love the photo booth as guest book idea! I don’t want anything typical. Glad you were able to get so much accomplished in a short time while you could.

I set a budget first. Then I hit all the main things. I chose time of year I wanted and then found out what available dates the venue had. Then I narrowed down the date by picking one that both my photographer and venue could do and that’s what got me rolling! So budget, venue, caterer, DJ and GUEST LIST. I swear the guest list was the hardest thing and I felt much relief after finishing that.

Mine felt that way too at first.
I'm super picky about photography and had 3 picked out. We picked our wedding date based on my photographer's availability. Partially because I really like her work, and partially because I sat next to a girl at a wedding who drunkenly tried to change her wedding date 5 months out to get this photographer. I didnt want that sort of regret hanging around me lol.

I just got excited ha ha im a planner. The fiancee...not so muchSmiley smile but I feel stress free now and a little more in control.

We are paying every month on most things...which makes him happy. We will have it paid for by the wedding.

LOL, it def. is a task. But, it's getting done. All I have left is my DIY projects (centerpieces). After that I just have to wait for the BIG day.

Thank you! I’m glad I’m not alone. I’m worried that if I don’t push through now that I will regret it next year. Just have to get darling FH on board.
