If you like beaches, Bora-Bora is amazing. Maldives is slightly more dangerous/risky but gorgeous too.

Every place have a risk. I went to 35 countries, and got pick-pocketed in San Francisco and Germany 🤷🏻‍♀️

Covid risk or general safety risk? I assume you're asking about the latter because your wedding is listed as being several years from now. We went to Greece and felt pretty safe (general safety, pre-Covid times).

This depends on what you want to do, when you want to go and your budget. Do you want to stay in the US? Do you want somewhere with a city to visit? Do you want to relax on the beach all day?
There is no such thing as the best place to honeymoon as everyone looks for something different in a trip

I mean they ‘sayyy’ there is higher risk of terrorist attacks there but I haven’t actually researched a whole heck of a lot on it and doubt its really a serious threat.

There’s a pretty big risk of terrorist attacks in the USA right now, unfortunately.

But there’s so many questions you could answer that would help us help you narrow it down!
    1. Do you want beaches, mountains, tropical, volcanoes?
    2. Where do you live and how do you plan to travel to your destination?? Driving, flight, train, camper van? 4-6 hour drive? Day long flight? Do you need a passport/visa?
    3. Do you like nightlife or just want to relax? Do you just want to hang out on a beautiful resort or do you want to see sites of another culture?
    4. What kind of weather do you prefer? Cool and crisp? Or hot and humid? Or just hot no humid?
    5. What is a reasonable budget for you?
    6. Do you have any health issues that you need to account for?
    7. When will you be able to go?
I am not a travel agent, but maybe in another life. Lol But these are things that will help you narrow down what you want to do or where you want to go and why and that will help you get some more specific destinations that are along the lines of what you want to do?

I have been looking into "beaches and mountains," and Maui might be a good fit for you. If you are a US citizen, you won't need a visa or passport. Hawaii will obviously be a flight risk, pun intended. Are you planning to do this, THIS FEBRUARY? By then there will probably still be covid 19 restrictions. You will need a test 72 hours before you travel to bypass 10 day quarantine. No more, no less. I am looking to go to the big island, and they have almost all of the world's climate zones on their island. So you will get a lot of variety there!

Personally, at this time of covid, I would not get anywhere near an airport right now, even though many airlines are taking precautions and visitors are still traveling. I know lots of people who have.

But maui will likely be hot and humid. I think you could always travel to like the UK/Scotland maybe for cooler weather and see some sites, although I don't think there are many mountain ranges up there.

Did I help:? Maybe not. Sorry. Good luck. Smiley smile

What cities did you stay in? Is there a lot of outdoorsy stuff like hiking?

We did half in Santorini and half in Athens. Neither of us had been to Greece before so in Athens we did the touristy things like city tours, the Acropolis, etc. and in Santorini we basically just relaxed on the beach in addition to doing a sunset cruise one evening. We made it more budget friendly by staying in an Airbnb in Athens (after all, we spent very little time in our room there), and a 5-star hotel in Santorini. We didn't do much hiking because we're not really into hiking, but there is supposed to be a beautiful national park in Crete if you're looking for hiking opportunities in Greece
